Backstory: Kai comes from a small seaside town in Oregon. He had a typical childhood, if not a bit over-sheltered. His parents are still happily married, both half human and half jellyfish. Both parents are supportive of their only child. He struggled with making friends growing up, but that never seemed to bother him. He didn't mind being alone, just as he didn't mind when someone was his friend. He was often bullied growing up for his "jellyfish brain" and how his tentacles would accidentally sting his classmates or grab their things involuntarily. He didn't mind the bullying, though, and honestly thought it was just kids trying to joke around with him. He's still just as oblivious as an adult. He would often try to join in, finding his own joke hilarious. He got into college on his art alone; he loves observing things around him and drawing/painting.
