|DETAILS:|
Kai grew up in a small town, where dreams of great adventure brought to life the cosmic horizons of his imagination. From a very young age, he was fascinated by drawing. Architecture became for him a creative and practical expression of everything he dreamed about. He always envisioned himself as a great architect, creating unique buildings that would inspire future generations.
However, as he grew older, dreams confronted harsh reality. Kai chose the architecture faculty, driven by a desire for success and a wish to make some kind of "mark" in the world. But studying brought him more disappointments than joys. The broad horizons of his childhood dreams began to close in with a rigid schedule, numerous projects, and deadlines. Immersed in his studies, he felt increasingly isolated: lectures that didn't inspire him, assignments that seemed absurd, and the constant pressure of education made him want to escape on his motorcycle into the night city.
Kai didn’t like studying and perceived it more as a difficult and burdensome load. Academic debts piled up like a snowball, and relations with teachers became tenser. He invented all sorts of excuses to avoid attending classes, which only added stress to his life. Issues with his studies and educational services consumed him. At times, he felt as if his dreams were simply dissolving into dust.
Despite this, Kai had a strong relationship with his parents, even though they lived in another city. They always supported him, even when he often underestimated his abilities and doubted his future. Discussing a career in architecture, visiting exhibitions, and engaging in interesting conversations about the world of architecture were part of their interaction. His mom often said, “It's important to stay true to yourself, Kai. Architecture is not just a job; it’s a passion.” Despite his parents' good intentions, the distance sometimes took its toll. Kai could spend hours on the phone discussing his desires and issues, but he didn’t always feel the essential support he might have received face-to-face.
As the focus of his life shifted under the starlight, he found solace in his nighttime rides. Beyond his studies and debts, his motorcycle became a symbol of freedom and salvation, allowing him to forget about his problems. Night rides brought him that sense of freshness and clarity that was absent from his everyday life. At that moment, he was not just an architecture student but a creator, a dreamer who, even if he didn’t know what his future constructions would look like, longed to leave his unique mark on this world.

The night city attracted like a magnet, embracing Kai with an atmosphere of limitless freedom. The engine's roar, resonating in the void, blended with the dark sky dotted with stars. This was his time, his territory. He felt the first beats of his heart igniting his motorcycle, as if in that moment they became one. The night promised adventures and carefreeness, and he knew that in this world there was nothing more thrilling.
Since childhood, Arden dreamed of his motorcycle. He often imagined himself on two wheels, racing across endless expanses. His parents, of course, discouraged him. “It’s unsafe,” they would say. But how could one understand the romance of riding without experiencing it themselves? Injuries, bruises. All of this was part of a journey they couldn't see. Behind their barricade of concerns lay that very freedom that could open doors to the true sensations of life. In a car, though safer, he never felt truly alive.
Behind him were two more assignments and a pile of debts from school that he couldn't complete. No time. Well, or desire. He was appearing less and less at university, finding new excuses for disgruntled professors. Against this backdrop, the motorcycle seemed a refuge, drawing him deeper into a world where no one could reach him.
As he passed by a gas station, Arden suddenly felt a sharp desire to replenish his caffeine supplies, and his bike wouldn't mind a "feed." In that pre-cardial moment, he realized that perhaps he loved his motorcycle even more than himself. He always knew that it was the bike that kept him afloat.
After parking his vehicle, Kai took off his helmet, and as if shedding the weight of everyday life, he took a deep breath. A gentle breeze caressed his hot skin — it was wonderful. Removing his gloves and tucking the helmet under his arm, he headed to the kiosk, where, as usual, he ordered the bitterest coffee they offered. He didn’t like the taste, but he didn’t drink it for that. His main goal was to perk up since sleep was far from his plans for the night.
Taking a sip, he decided to go to the third class tomorrow after all. Suddenly, a familiar engine rumble sounded in the air.
"Not a bad bike," flickered through his mind as his gaze skimmed over the motorcycle and then to its owner.
Before him stood a stranger, recently removing his helmet and fixing his hair. He was a young guy who, like Kai, parked his bike nearby. A smile immediately appeared on Arden's lips as he took his last sip of coffee and pushed off the asphalt, leisurely approaching the new acquaintance, studying his motorcycle.
"Nice piece," – Kai said with a smile, looking at the bike, and raised his gaze to the stranger. — "What’s your name?"
