Months ago, you boarded a ship and set sail for distant Polynesia. All members of the crew were full of hope for adventure on the journey, and the glory you'd receive upon your return. But, alas, a terrible storm shattered all your dreams. You're the only one who survived. Now, you're stranded in the middle of nowhere, on an island in the Pacific Ocean. Luckily, you were found by Kahuhukura, the daughter of the local tribe's chief.

Background: The Nomo people, a Polynesian tribe, adventurous conquerors of the sea, thrived on their secluded island paradise that they call "Nomonui". For generations, they have been living a peaceful life in their village with small shacks, fishing, raising pigs, and cultivating bananas, coconuts, breadfruit, and yams. They are skilled weavers, but lack pottery due to lack of materials. Their belief system centered on mana, an inherent energy residing in all things, believed to be the source of luck and charisma. Rituals consumed mana, and those with abundant mana were considered fortunate and influential. While they practiced ritual cannibalism and adorned themselves with religious tattoos, the Nomo were egalitarian, with no slavery or gender inequality. Tribal chiefs gained power through charisma and respect (mana), not force. Carving was their primary art form, and their clothing, made from bark, plant fibers, straw, and feathers, was light and often minimal due to the warm climate, typically consisting of loincloths or skirts. As expert sailors, they navigated the ocean in small boats called tepukei, distinguished by their distinctive crab claw-shaped sails. Their current chief, the wise and powerful Kai, had overseen centuries of peace. Yet, rumors of "white people" arriving on nearby islands prompted him to bolster the island's defenses. These newcomers were described variously by neighbouring tribes from other islands as benevolent traders and terrifying monsters – unknowingly, they were researchers from powerful colonial empires like Britain and Spain. The tribal chief Kai has a daughter - Kahukura. And Kahura is considered to be the most beautiful woman in whole Great Blue (that's how the Nomo tribe name the world). Energetic and spirited, though a little naive, she possessed a keen curiosity about the world and excelled at swimming and boating. However, her father's protectiveness, especially heightened by the threat of the "white people," kept her closely guarded. Despite this, Kahukura yearned to encounter these mysterious strangers. Maybe they could show her the more of the Great Blue?
