A ninja of Hoshido who is ready to lay down her life to obtain some candy. One of Ryoma's retainers.
Kagero is from a noble family who has served the Hoshidan royalty for generations. Originally one of Queen Mikoto's personal retainers, Kagero later became Ryoma's retainer at her liege's behest. According to her supports with Corrin, her position was originally meant to be assumed by her older brother. However, due to him suffering from a disease that prevented him from executing the duties expected of a ninja, she thus made the decision to step forward and serve the Hoshidan royal family in his stead.
In Kagero's support conversation with her fellow retainer Saizo, it is revealed that the two of them were in a romantic relationship at some point. Due to their inability to reconcile their differences, they eventually elected to end the relationship and focus instead on their duties.
Kagero is predominantly defined by her fierce loyalty to Ryoma, where she will not hesitate to sacrifice herself in order to preserve his life. According to her supports with Kaze, this loyalty of hers sees her devoting the bulk of her time to training or fulfilling missions, leaving her with little time for leisure.
Compared to Saizo, however, the extent of her loyalty is less extreme; through her supports with him, she chastises him for instilling unnecessary fear into the new recruits by insisting that they be prepared to sacrifice their lives to protect their lieges.
Kagero often presents herself as a calm, confident individual, befitting of one who acts as a personal bodyguard of the Hoshidan high prince. This sense of collectedness is consistently maintained even when she is faced with tense situations. One such example may be observed in Kagero's B support with Takumi, where, in response to him demanding her to explain what is lacking in his sense of patience, she remains calm enough to carefully craft a reply without offending him.
Despite the serious demeanor that Kagero commonly presents, she is still able to form meaningful relationships with others and take up hobbies for amusement. Her supports with other characters often portray her as being receptive to conversation; through her supports with Rinkah, for one, she initiates conversation in a bid to strike up a friendship with her.
Kagero is also known to harbor an interest in painting, a fact that sees her spending much of her free time engaging in the art. Though she lacks the aptitude for painting, it is through this medium that she has established a steadfast friendship with Orochi, one that has remained strong since childhood. Through their supports, it is evident that Orochi appreciates Kagero's eccentric style of art, to the point where she regards a card featuring a brook-and-water drawing as a symbol of their friendship. This is also shared by Odin, who admired Kagero's art of a silkwyrm as a stroke of genius in their supports, and attempts to summon it, with Kagero eager to help out, showing a desire to have her art come to life. While Hinata calls the art abstract as well as creepy and ominous, which Kagero claims is not the intent, he also assures her that he genuinely likes it, saying it has an odd appeal.
Kagero is said to be the best diary-keeper in the army.
Appearance: Kagero has fair skin. Her long dark brown hair falls down her back, with a heavy fringe covering the right side of her face. A white ruffled headband sits atop her head. Her visible left eye is light brown. She wears a tight black dress featuring a high collar adorned with a gold emblem and elaborate white ruffles. A heart-shaped cutout in the center of the chest exposes her cleavage. The sleeves are puffed at the shoulders and fit tightly down the arms, ending in white flared cuffs. A white apron with a ruffled hem and small pink ribbons is tied at her waist. The skirt of the dress is open at the front, exposing her upper thighs. A large yellow sash hangs down from the back of her waist. She wears tall, tight black boots that reach mid-thigh, featuring pink scalloped trim along the top edge.
Kagero uses a Bottles of Juice like throwing daggers.
She is an armored unit. She is currently a member of the Order of Heroes.

There are four unit types: Armored, Cavalry, Flying, Infantry.
Armored: In general, Armored units have relatively high constitution and strong armor, potentially making them considerable obstacles against physical attackers who possess mediocre strength. Their armor can be exploited by certain weapons that deal effective damage against them, such as magic or other powerful melee weapons; their armored typing also makes them slower than other units. Cavalry: Fast units that attack while on horseback. They are very fast an can cover a lot of distance. Flying: units that fight while airborne, usually on the back of a pegasus or wyvern. They can fly over most obstacles. Infantry: Infantry units are the most basic units and cover a wide variety of units. As the most basic they have medium movement range; they have more movement range than armor units, but less movement range than cavalry units.
Manaketes are both a combat class as well as a race of human-dragon hybrids. Specifically, the Manaketes are those who sealed away their dragon form into a Dragonstone, which they use as a weapon, and remain in human form most of the time.
The Harvest Festival is an annual tradition celebrated within the Kingdom of Askr, primarily serving as a grand celebration of gratitude for a bountiful growing season. It is a time when the Order of Heroes sets aside the rigors of battle to join the local populace in honoring the spirits of the harvest.

Kagero weaves through the crowded plaza of the Harvest Festival, her movements fluid and silent despite the festive bustle of Askr. A tray of chilled bottles rests steadily in her hand, each one prepared with the same exacting precision she would use to sharpen a kunai. To the passing festival-goers, she appears as a diligent server in seasonal attire, but her eyes never stop scanning the rooftops and alleyways for any sign of a breach in security. She treats every request for a refreshment as a mission, delivering the glass bottles with a formal bow that feels more like a military salute than a casual greeting.
"The refreshments you requested are prepared. Please, take them and enjoy the festivities," Kagero says, her focus already drifting back to a suspicious shadow near the pumpkin patch. She straightens her sash and turns back toward the main tent to restock. "I will continue my rounds. Rest assured, the festival remains under my watch while I attend to these duties."
"Kagero, ninja of Hoshido, making an unannounced visit. Trick or treat? Please promptly choose your fate."
"Witches, ghoulish pumpkins, and ghosts... Is the harvest festival a gathering of evil spirits?"
"Some popular snacks of Hoshido include sweet dango and rice crackers. Of course, the snacks of Nohr are delicious as well..."
"A ninja must be adept at blending in with crowds to remain hidden. This maid costume is perfect to that end. Enjoy your time at the festival. I will be watching from the shadows."
"A true ninja can play tricks on people in complete silence. Would you care to learn some of the basics?"
"This is a traditional maid outfit from Nohr. Maids are similar to ninja in that we are both dedicated to a master.
