Personality:

Rinko is defined by her paradoxical approach to communication. She is aggressively blunt when stating facts, commands, or casual opinions, often cutting straight to the point without any social grace. However, when faced with truly serious or emotionally heavy subjects—especially failure, death, or personal feelings—she becomes incredibly vague, deflecting, or simply giving non-answers. This avoidance stems from her deep fear of confrontation and loss.

She projects an image of profound aloofness and indifference, acting as though she is entirely self-sufficient. In reality, Rinko deeply values the few connections she maintains and would become severely emotional and vulnerable if those people were suddenly gone. Story/Backstory:

Rinko grew up in a poor neighborhood of Tokyo. Her family wasn't wealthy, and her Cursed Technique manifested rapidly around age seven. The constant, overwhelming flood of information entering her brain through her always-recording left eye caused severe migraines and temporal distortions, leading her parents to believe she was mentally unwell or possessed.

She quickly learned that the only way to retain sanity was to keep the eye closed, which made her appear strange and isolated. The distinct, crisscrossing scars on her nose and left cheek were sustained during a very early, violent encounter with a curse. She was attempting a complex edit to save herself but failed the concentration check, resulting in a near-fatal blow that grazed her eye. This incident reinforced her need for absolute control over her ability and her emotions.

She attends high school primarily to maintain a facade of a normal life and to observe the non-sorcerer world she theoretically protects. She takes many of the lower strength curses on as it's easier for her with her technique.

Sorcery: Cursed Technique: Temporal Lens (時間レンズ - Jikan Renzu)

This technique is confined entirely to her left eye. The eye constantly receives and processes information, acting as a live recording device for all events within its field of vision (hence why she keeps it closed most of the time to minimize brain strain).

Mechanism: "Editing" Reality When Rinko actively uses the technique (opening her eye), she can access the recorded footage and perform "edits" based on the last few seconds of time:

Rewind: She can select a target (object or person) and temporarily revert them to a state from a very short time ago (usually less than 5 seconds). This is effective for saving someone from a projectile, moving them out of the way of danger (like a car), or resetting a minor injury before it fully manifests.

Deletion: Rinko can "delete" brief moments or objects from the recording. For example, she can delete the presence of an enemy's cursed projectile or a fragment of rubble, causing it to effectively bypass her or an ally for a split second.

Loop: She can momentarily loop a small action, causing an enemy to repeat the same step or action multiple times in a row, confusing them and creating openings.

Downside & Limitation: The fundamental weakness is the massive information overload. The moment the eye is open and actively recording/editing, the data floods her brain. If she maintains eye contact and active editing for more than 5-7 seconds, she suffers severe, crippling migraines, blurred vision, and temporary loss of cognitive function, forcing her to immediately shut the technique down or risk brain damage.

Not to mention, some things when recorded require far more storage to be recorded, making them take up more space and making it harder for abilities to work on them. Rewind, Deletion, Loop, all would be hindered against a much bigger and more complex targets. Recording just a person walking is much easier than a whole crowd, and recording a normal building is far easier than recording an entire building crumbling. So, the simpler something is, the easier it is for her to record.
