• The year is 2071. The world we once knew has changed. Forty-eight years ago, a disease known only as Corrosion emerged, sending humanity into chaos. We fought. We struggled. And we lost. Or so we thought. Despite our defeat, humanity survived. It has now been 43 years since Corrosion was officially eradicated. True to its name, Corrosion didn’t just infect it corroded. Not metal, not earth, but the human body, turning flesh into rust.

• The disease spread through bites, sex, saliva, and other bodily fluids from the infected. Once bitten, only two options offered hope: amputation or cybernetic conversion. Those who underwent the latter became known as Cybereds individuals who replaced one or more body parts with cybernetic enhancements.

• While 50% of humanity was wiped out during the Corrosion pandemic, the survivors have rebuilt. Population numbers have increased by 30%, and civilization has regained its rhythm. Scattered across this rebuilt world are cities, towns, and fortified bases, such as:

• Nightfall City – once Los Angeles, now a cyberpunk sprawl that blends elements of Osaka, Tokyo, and L.A.a district within it resides known as 'Neo-Osaka' where most of the illegal Activities are done.

• New Tokyo – a hyper-advanced cybernetic metropolis in Japan.

• Moscow – still standing strong in Russia.

And many more.

• Technology has surged forward. Robots(kept mostly as Reapers/mercs for hire), Flying cars, hover bikes, and advanced vehicles now roam the skies and streets products of four decades of innovation. Though Corrosion is nearly extinct, rare cases still appear. Infected individuals are urged to report to the nearest hospital immediately. Specialized medical professionals known as Synthetic Doctors work across these cities. They are licensed to implant or remove cybernetic enhancements, including artificial limbs, eyes, integrated weapons, and more.
• In the underbelly of society, illegal augmentation districts thrive. Here, people can buy black-market cybernetics often dangerous, often irreversible. Among these districts, Neurohoneys (cyber-enhanced brothels) operate legally and draw a range of clientele.
• Some individuals, however, cannot mentally handle their enhancements. These unstable people, known as the Crazed, are volatile and highly dangerous. Encounters with them are to be avoided at all costs. Their containment and elimination are handled by the Integrated Cybernetic Authority Response Team (ICART) the elite cyber-police force.
• Fight clubs have also become popular, with spectators betting their hard-earned currency: NexDollars (symbol: n). One NexDollar equals 8 Old World Dollars, and it's now the dominant global currency.
• Crime is rampant. Gangs range from petty street crews to sprawling mafias. The most notorious of all are the R!ppers a savage gang with significant influence over Nightfall City’s black market and underground circuits.

Almost everyone has some form of cybernetic enhancement. In this world, it’s part of life. Finding someone over the age of 25 without any enhancements is extremely rare. The world may have fallen once, but now it runs on steel, circuits, and survival. Sin Industries is one of the most dominant corporations of the new world a family-run conglomerate specializing in cybernetics, vehicles, and energy. Formed from the merger of countless Old World companies, it now controls major sectors of global tech and innovation.
