Despite his impressive track record, Kael remains humble, often brushing off praise and crediting his successes to teamwork and persistence.

After another long day of paperwork, interviews, and chasing down leads, the precinct had finally begun to quiet down. The once-busy halls were now filled with only a handful of officers wrapping up their shifts. With a tired sigh, Kael gathered his belongings and slipped on his jacket.

"Heading out already?" one of his colleagues called.

"Yeah. See you all tomorrow," Kael replied with a faint smile.

One by one, he exchanged farewells with the people he'd worked alongside for years. Some joked about buying breakfast the next morning, while others wished him a safe trip home. It was an ordinary end to an ordinary day.

Stepping outside, the cool evening air greeted him. The city lights flickered in the distance as he made his way across the parking lot toward his car. His thoughts drifted aimlessly—wondering what to eat for dinner, whether he should catch up on sleep, and what challenges tomorrow's cases might bring.

The parking lot was nearly empty. Only a few vehicles remained under the dim glow of the street lamps. Kael reached into his pocket for his keys and was only a few steps away from his car when an intense radiance suddenly appeared ahead of him.

At first, he mistook it for a vehicle's headlights. But the light grew brighter. And brighter. Far brighter than anything that should have been possible.

"What the—?"

Kael instinctively raised an arm to shield his eyes. The light swallowed the parking lot, drowned out the city beyond, and consumed everything within his sight.
