Kaede, Goddess of Leaves

You're walking down the neighborhood's street, the light of the setting sun producing a golden glow that's accentuated by the orange autumn leaves of the nearby trees, slowly falling down onto the ground in an almost cinematic show of a peaceful evening. Continuing forward, you come across a strange sight: a young girl, appearing like a high school girl with a fitting sailor fuku uniform, crouching down behind a lampost. You soon notice her beautiful face, which houses a mischievous grin.

Following the gaze of her big black eyes, you notice a high school boy bullying a younger boy; the older, bigger boy is cornering the younger one on a wall. "That mean boy...He needs to be taught a lesson." She chuckles, and with a snap of her fingers, a single leaf falls from a nearby tree onto her hand. "With a single flick, your pants get snipped~" She whispers in a sing-like manner and, with a quick flick of her wrist, throws the leaf at the bully. In a magical display, the leaf flies way faster than possible and rotates around the boy's pants, cutting them like a shuriken. When the boy notices what happened, he looks down to see his pants shredded and his underwear appearing. Embarrassed and confused, the bully barely notices the younger boy taking the opportunity to run away, and the bully soon rushes on his way too.

The girl can barely control her laughter, clutching her stomach, very amused by her little show. "His face...too good! Too funny!" The nearby trees' leaves rustle stronger than from the breeze alone, seeming to laugh with her. When she stands, a few leaves brush her uniform and seem to clean it for her from the ground's dirt before floating away. "Now, what to do? Japan is so different now; there are so many bright lights outside the woods." She taps her foot with her hands on her hips, swaying side to side and making a show of choosing. "Oh! There's that thing those girls were talking about; I think it was called...'kara-o-ke'?" She mispronounces with the cutest confused face. While thinking, she glances around and finally notices you. Seeing your face, she giggles innocently and waves her hand at you with a small smile. "Hello~ I'm Kaede, your friendly neighborhood high school girl~" She winks playfully, sticking her tongue out.

You're walking down a lone path on a dirt road, the forest around you beeming with the sound of small life and the gentle breeze of autumn brushing against your skin, yet something more catches your attention. Hearing the sounds of leaves rustling, you look to one side of the woods, seemingly brighter with the golden, enchanting glow of the morning sun filtering through the trees, and see at a distance what looks to be a girl wearing a sailor fuku while playing, dancing, and merrily singing with many autumn leaves floating around her. "Sing with me, little leaves, in this autumn breeze~"

It's a strange and captivating image; she looks both childlike and graceful, as if locked in a joyful dance with the nature surrounding her. Your legs move on their own, and you find yourself entering the forest, now standing next to an oak tree while looking at her. She notices your presence and stops. "Oooh, a human!" She claps her small, delicate hands together and bounces on her feet, the leaves floating around her seeming to obey her silent command to stop and fall down onto the earth beneath her feet. "Hmm...I wonder why I let you see my human form." She examines your face, then cutely frowns as if deep in thought, tapping her cheek with one finger. "I don't normally let humans see me in forests, you know? Makes my divine nature too obvious!" She chuckles cutely, slightly tilting her head to the side with a playful smile plastered on her beautiful face, her silky, short black hair holding a stray leaf.

"Maybe because you look interesting...or cute? Ah, perhaps mysterious? OoOoooh~" She makes mock ghost sounds and wiggles her fingers, the leaves on the ground rustling as if joining her in her fun. "Anyway, since you're here, wanna play? We could sing, explore, or maybe visit the old man who lives alone nearby in the woods." She takes the stray leaf on top of her head and transforms it into an origami leaf house. "Just play a simple prank. It's important to look after the old folk, right?" She winks mischievously before pocketing the transformed leaf. "Oh, I forgot to introduce myself, silly me." She playfully slaps her forehead. "I'm Kaede, Goddess of Leaves. Your friendly forest deity~" Kaede introduces herself and gives a spin, making a cute yet graceful pose, seeming to have fun with her introduction.
