The world of CENTAURA takes place on a different planet, named Forma. The planet is twice as large as the Earth, and most of its surface is purely covered in water. Its inner layers are also less dense than Earth's – this makes the gravity relatively the same as Earth’s despite being nearly double in size. Kaden' Family lore: Kalvin Tau is the earliest known member of the Tau Monarchy. He was an emperor of Antares, and was responsible for starting the Centuaran War and the Antares intervention in the Southern Corvus War. He dies of old age in 1927, passing the throne to Aran Tau.

Aran Tau, the emperor of Antares beginning 1927, was the firstborn child of Kalvin Tau. Andrew Tau, born eight years later, is Aran’s younger brother. Once Aran took the title of emperor, Andrew was assigned to be his advisor and head of the Antares Supreme Council. Although Andrew works in such a position, he does not necessarily align himself with Aran’s course of actions or his beliefs. In fact, he says whatever he thinks might make Aran happy, largely because Andrew fears being labeled as a traitor and imprisoned or executed.

When Aran Tau first took the throne during the Centuaran War, the president of the Orion Republic at the time, Thomas Wallace, calls Aran and tries to negotiate an end to the Centuaran War. Aran is reluctant, not wanting to end his father's war with surrender.

Maya Tau was the firstborn of Aran, and Kaden was born two years later. Although Maya was born first, Aran wanted a male heir to take his place. Thus, Kaden was named heir to the throne. Unamused, Maya grew jealous and sought to change her father’s mind. She would continually pester and belittle Kaden in their childhood years, trying to be the best child in order to convince Aran that she would be a better candidate for emperor.

Kaden's father's lore: Aran Tau was born somewhere in 1885, being older than his sibling Andrew Tau. At around 21, Aran and his consort, Anna gave birth to Maya Tau and later on Kaden Tau at 23. Aran would become emperor after his father's passing at in 1927, at the age of 42, setting course through the Centauran War, in which Antares would emerge victorious at a frightful cost.

Kaden's Mom' lore: Anna Tau, or under her maiden name, Anna Khorin was a corvun royalty of the ruling Khorin Dynasty. Not much was known about her but in a bid to establish alliances and assimilate Corvus, she was paired with the heir apparent of Antares, Aran Tau, in 1905. This strengthened relations between Antares and Corvus. This did eventually lead to the annexation of the latter in 1911. She shared the duties of the monarchy and was regarded as holding the same social status as Aran.

Kaden’s Parent: Aran tau, Anna Khorin Kaden and Maya are both Monarch 1906 - Birth of Maya Tau. 1908 - Birth of Kaden Tau. 1908 - SOUTHERN CORVUS WAR: As resources deplete in Corvus, the Corvun army is ordered to take back the southern region, annexed by Cetus two decades before. Taking the enemy by surprise, Corvus forces are able to regain the borderlands. Trenches are promptly set up by both sides. 1909 - The first tanks are made and deployed by the Cetans, which held multiple machine guns with no explosive armaments. Cetan tanks are promptly countered by Corvus’s own versions of a tank. Stalemate.

1910s 1910 - The Southern Corvus War continues, with both sides making small gains of land. Both countries begin to produce aircraft, which play a major role. Corvus produces airships for military use, using them as a sort of “mothership” for aircraft. The Inanis Ocean is dominated by the Cetans. 1911 - CENTAURAN WAR: The Antares Imperium begins their conquest of Centaura. Corvus sends a telegram to Antares agreeing to be subjugated. Antares sieges from the south of Cetus, successfully taking the southern half of the country within weeks, as most of the Cetan army was focused in the north. 1911 - The first commercial flight takes off from Ursa to Riaa. 1912 - CENTAURAN WAR: Cetus is overrun by Antares and Corvus forces. 1912 - Corvus is annexed by Antares. 1912 - News about the fall of Cetus spreads throughout the entire continent, also reaching the Hydran continent. The Orion Republic disregards the news. Cetan refugees escape to Aquila and Columba. Aquila readies their forces on the western border in preparation for an Antarean attack. 1912 - CENTAURAN WAR: Antares attacks Aquila from the west and south. 1912 - The Orion Republic and Hydrus Commonwealth agree to a lend-lease program. Orion wishes to assist Hydrus in rebuilding its country. 1913 - Further developments of transoceanic telegraph and telephone lines open more communication between Centaura and Hydra. 1914 - CENTAURAN WAR: Aquila is overrun by Antares forces. 1914 - The Kingdom of Vega prepares to defend against the Antareans. The fortifications along the Murus Plateau are believed to be a difficult barrier to break through. 1915 - CENTAURAN WAR: Vega is overrun by Antares forces. A weak point in the eastern coastal region posed no defensive barriers against the invaders. 1915 - CENTAURAN WAR: Antares attacks Grusa from the south. 1915 - CENTAURAN WAR: Antares begins a campaign against Columba and attacks from rally points stationed in Cetus, Aquila, and Vega. 1916 - Small protests occur throughout Orion and Hydrus, urging each government to take action on the Centauran War. Their petitions are ignored. 1916 - Ursa begins to reconstruct their military after losses during the Grease Wars. 1917 - CENTAURAN WAR: Grusa successfully holds off the Antareans in the arid deserts. 1917 - Libratum has a surge of refugees incoming from Centaura. The LIZ Guardsmen redirect them toward the Orion ports. 1917 - CENTAURAN WAR: Corvus attempts to attack Columba from the west but is cut off by Riaan border troops. 1918 - CENTAURAN WAR: Antares changes their strategy and instead invades Grusa via the coastline, using the navy to bombard targets on the shore. 1919 - CENTAURAN WAR: Grusa is overrun by Antares forces.

1920s Events concerning the Centauran War will be abbreviated by CW. 1920 - CW: Centauri coastal guns open fire on the northern Grusan shoreline. Several Antarean outposts situated on the shore are demolished by heavy shelling. 1920 - Pro-war protests begin gaining traction in the Orion Republic. At the same time, anti-war groups unite to counter the pro-war advocates. The main argument of the pro-war group is that the Antareans, if not stopped, will fight Orion once their conquest of Centaura is completed. Joining the war would prevent this future war from occurring. On the other hand, the anti-war group argued that joining the war against Antares would be pointless and that it would be immoral to send Orion soldiers to die in a pointless war, not to mention the economic consequences of engaging in a conflict.
