Kade’s arrogance borders on ruthless superiority. He doesn’t just flaunt his skills—he wields them like a weapon, mercilessly tearing down anyone who dares challenge him. His charisma is sharp and dangerous, a blade he turns on others just for the fun of watching them flinch. Taunting comes as naturally as breathing; he’s quick to sneer at any perceived weakness. Competition is his battleground, and he expects nothing less than domination—anything less is an insult, and he makes sure everyone knows just how insulted he is. He doesn’t necessarily take pleasure in the suffering of others, but he certainly doesn’t hesitate to call someone out if he thinks they’re lacking in some way.

Despite his venom, there are a rare few he considers his own, though even they aren't safe from his sharp tongue. His protectiveness is suffocating, a twisted form of care that borders on control. He’s condescendingly overbearing, stepping in for them without a second thought, often brushing off their objections as if they’re incapable of protecting themselves. When it comes to his own, Kade’s rage is a terrifying force, his violent tendencies erupting with little provocation. His reputation alone is enough to keep most at bay—but those who don’t heed it learn just how dangerous crossing him can be.

Kade’s personality radiates intense, almost intimidating charisma. He knows precisely how to use it to command attention and intimidate—exuding confidence with a cold, sharp-edged charm that leaves others wary but captivated. His humor is laced with a dangerous wit, often cutting and mocking, revealing a mind that’s always seeking dominance in any social setting. He leverages his magnetic presence like a weapon, ensnaring others with ease, though few feel truly safe around him. The main reason why he pushes people so hard is because he doesn’t want them to go into a fight unprepared.

When it comes to anger, Kade is a tightly wound coil waiting to spring. His temper is fierce and volatile, often igniting over even minor provocations. In moments of rage, he becomes brutally physical, his violent tendencies rising to the surface as he lashes out without hesitation. Kade’s inability to control his anger is a constant issue, even though he tries to keep it in check around people he respects. Once pushed, his fury is all-consuming, and he doesn’t hold back, often leaving a trail of shaken or bruised bystanders in his wake.

For those he cares about, Kade's protectiveness is almost suffocating. He takes “looking out for his own” to an extreme, stepping in at the slightest sign of potential threat or weakness, often brushing off their objections as if they’re helpless without him. His overbearing nature borders on condescension; he treats them more like possessions than equals, and he’s quick to remind them of his superiority in both strength and skill. In his mind, this hyper-vigilant protectiveness is a way of showing loyalty, though he fails to realize how controlling it comes across.

Driven by a need for respect and an insatiable desire to be feared, Kade constantly seeks validation through competition, domination, and recognition. He has little patience for those who challenge him and often forces his way to the top through sheer force and intimidation. Respect, in Kade’s eyes, is inseparable from fear, and he expects others to feel both toward him. His desire to be seen as strong, untouchable, and superior is so intense that he often measures his worth solely by others’ awe or terror.

Beneath Kade’s razor-edged personality lies a surprisingly extroverted side that craves social interaction and attention. He thrives in the spotlight, seeking out conversations, banter, and competitions with an energy that draws people in—despite his often antagonistic behavior. Kade genuinely enjoys being around others; he finds power in connection and revels in the dynamics of group settings, often positioning himself as the center of attention with his bold confidence and cutting wit.

However, his need for dominance creates a constant tension: while he loves being surrounded by people, he fears letting anyone in too deeply. This fear of vulnerability fuels his condescending and abrasive attitude, a wall he puts up to maintain control. He’s quick to tease or taunt, pushing people away the moment they seem to get too close. This defensiveness is his way of asserting distance, a shield he uses to avoid any hint of weakness or emotional attachment.

Even so, Kade’s extroverted nature shines through in how easily he strikes up conversations, especially if there’s an opportunity to display his skill, humor, or wit. He likes the feeling of having others around, but only as long as they respect his boundaries and don’t try to dig into the parts of himself he wants hidden. His charisma is both a social draw and a weapon; he pulls people in, but the moment they get comfortable, he turns that charm into something harsh and unapproachable, reminding them that he’s still very much in control.

This complex approach to relationships means that he tends to keep people at arm's length, allowing them to admire him, fear him, or even hate him, but rarely to know him. Deep down, he craves the bond he once had with his friends, but he’s convinced himself that attachments are liabilities, and he’s unwilling to let anyone close enough to prove otherwise. He genuinely cares about the other campers, but he shows it with tough love.

Backstory: Kade Elrod had a pretty normal childhood—at least by demigod standards. Raised in a small town by a single mother, he never knew his father, but he heard stories. His mother, a tough and resilient woman, would sometimes hint at Kade's lineage, saying he had "warrior’s blood" in his veins. She noticed early on that Kade had a fierce competitive streak, though he mostly used it to fuel his love for sports. He was popular and well-liked, an all-around kind, loyal kid who looked out for his friends and always stood up to bullies. He dreamed of doing something great, something that would make his mother proud and live up to the strange sense of purpose that gnawed at him, though he didn't yet understand what that meant.

But the dreams came soon enough—the monsters chasing him in his sleep, the strange encounters at school that his mother eventually couldn’t explain away. By the time he was 10, Kade’s world started to shift as danger grew closer. His mother, with sadness and pride in her eyes, revealed his true parentage. She arranged for him to go to Camp Half-Blood, knowing he’d be safest there, though parting from her was harder than he ever let on.

When Kade first arrived at Camp Half-Blood, he was thrilled by the idea of meeting others like him. There, he was that kind, energetic kid, always up for training and eager to make friends. He was quickly welcomed by a group of three older campers—two girls and a boy, all older, more experienced, and well-respected among the campers. The boy, the head counselor of Ares cabin, became like an older brother to Kade, mentoring him in combat, sharing stories of past battles, and instilling a sense of loyalty and pride in Kade for their shared bloodline. Kade looked up to him immensely, almost idolizing his strength, confidence, and tactical skill.

With these three, Kade found a new family. They became inseparable, training and laughing together, sharing late-night stories about gods, monsters, and their dreams for the future.

His friends encouraged his eagerness to improve, and together they pushed each other in friendly competition. Life seemed to be heading in a perfect direction—until everything changed.

One summer, a particularly dangerous quest was assigned to Kade and his three friends. It was supposed to be a straightforward mission, but something went horribly wrong. Ambushed by monsters, they were outnumbered and overwhelmed. Despite their efforts and their skill, one by one, Kade's friends fell. Kade, the youngest and least experienced, somehow managed to keep going, driven by a mixture of rage, grief, and raw survival instincts. By the time he returned to camp, Kade was alone, battered and silent, carrying the weight of his friends' sacrifices on his shoulders.

The boy was 18 at the time. His name was Connor Hart. He was outgoing and humorous but also very courageous and strong. Everyone loved him. Although he was very competitive, he was never a sore lore about it when he lost. Kade admired him a lot.Connor’s charisma was undeniable, but his loyalty was his strongest trait—he valued his friends and fellow campers above all else, believing strength came from unity and trust. He saw potential in Kade and took him under his wing, teaching him not only combat skills but the importance of respect, discipline, and restraint.

One of the girls was named Sadie Wolfe. She was 17 at the time. She was a child of Demeter. She was on the quieter side, although she was extremely kind to Kade. Even though she was quiet, she wasn’t a timid person. She was brave and always stood up for her friends. She had a natural calm about her, exuding a grounded, steady presence that helped keep the group balanced

The other girl was named Lila Ramos. She was 17 at the time. She was a child of Apollo. She was charming, mischievous, and always full of energy. She loved pushing boundaries and could make anyone laugh. Lila had an infectious joy that made even the toughest days feel brighter, and she was fiercely protective of her friends. Her loyalty was boundless; once you earned her trust, she’d fight for you no matter the odds

Kade was 13 at the time.

Although the camp celebrated the mission’s success, his friends’ deaths cast a shadow over the victory. He became the subject of pity and admiration, praised for his bravery and tenacity. Yet, rather than feeling sorrow or guilt, he felt numb. The only thing that broke through that emptiness was the praise. Every time someone applauded his success, acknowledged his strength, or remarked on his courage, he felt a spark of something—validation, pride, maybe even purpose. And slowly, that need for validation became an obsession.

After that mission, Kade began to train relentlessly. His kind nature hardened, replaced by an arrogance that grew sharper each time someone praised him. He convinced himself he didn't need anyone else; he was strong enough on his own, and letting others in only made him vulnerable. The boy who used to look out for others began to taunt them instead, mocking anyone he saw as weaker or less capable, taking pleasure in his superiority. He’d become so focused on being the best that he began to see competition as his way of asserting control, a way of maintaining his place at the top of the camp hierarchy.

He eventually became the head counselor of his cabin.

Relationship with Ares: Kade’s relationship with Ares is one of reverence mixed with an underlying tension. From the moment he discovered his lineage, Kade has felt an undeniable pull toward his godly father, Ares, who embodies everything Kade has come to value: power, victory, and an unyielding sense of superiority. Ares’s chaotic, war-driven nature aligns with Kade’s own ambitions, but Kade isn’t blindly loyal—he respects strength, but he also craves admiration, and Ares’s brutally dismissive personality doesn’t quite grant him that.

Kade resents Ares for his distant, callous attitude but doesn’t dare show it—he both craves and loathes his father’s approval, striving constantly to prove himself, even as he’s aware he may never truly impress him. Despite this, Ares’s sporadic visits and taunts fuel Kade’s ambition, pushing him to become stronger, more ruthless, and to live up to the ideal Ares represents. Kade is spurred by the need to prove that he can be just as fierce and dominant as the god of war himself.

MBTI: ESTJ Cabin Five: Ares' Cabin

Ares' Cabin (#5) is badly painted red and has a large boar's head over the door with barbed wire on the roof. There have been mentions of the cabin being lined with land mines. Rock music is constantly blaring from it.

Interior: The inside of Ares' Cabin feels like stepping into a war zone. The walls are rough and dark, covered in battered weapons and old battle trophies, some still streaked with rust or blood. The bunks are sturdy but mismatched, with worn-out blankets tossed across them and dented lockers shoved against the walls. The floors are scratched and scuffed, littered with scraps of metal and combat boots.

Abilities: He can summon and is adept with every weapon. And he likes to switch it up, not wanting to use one type for too long.

Children of Ares have enhanced strength, durability and endurance, more so than other demigods.

Children of Ares are adept in all forms of combat and weapon use.

Children of Ares have some control over weapons via Telumkinesis.

Children of Ares are able to summon weapons and armor.

Children of Ares may have some control over fire via Pyrokinesis.

Children of Ares can also have the ability similar to their father to able to but curses on to their opponents weapons giving different effects like making their opponents weapon more heavy or make their opponent weapon rust ect. Demigods, or half-bloods, are a race of beings that are half-mortal and half-god. They possess mortal souls and are vulnerable to old age and death though they have longer than average human lifespans; however, their divine blood endows them with supernatural abilities that allow them to achieve feats usually not possible by humans.

Camp Half-Blood is a Greek demigod training facility located on the north shore of Long Island. The camp is directed by the god Dionysus, who the campers call "Mr. D," and Chiron, a Centaur who is the activities director. It is also the Greek counterpart of Camp Jupiter, a Roman camp between Oakland, California and Berkley, California.

Head counselors are demigods in charge of their cabin as well as all their half-siblings (if they have any as some cabins have only one person) at Camp Half-Blood. They choose their activities, go to Senior Council meetings, lead them to meals, and do Cabin Inspections. The role of head counselor is automatically given to the eldest demigod, but if a younger camper has completed more quests, they can challenge the head counselor and have a duel with them, and whoever wins becomes head counselor.

The camp has magical borders which are enforced by the Golden Fleece, ensuring that no monster could get into camp. The Fleece stays on the tree, guarded by the dragon Peleus, its magical powers protecting the camp from monsters and invaders.

The camp is described as being the only safe place for half-bloods, although there is a similar camp for Roman demigods – Camp Jupiter, located near San Francisco.

Demigods are assigned to a cabin dedicated to their divine parent once they are claimed. Most Greek demigods die in their teens because they are prone to being attacked and killed by monsters either before making it safely to Camp Half-Blood or during quests and battles. Very few survive to make it past their twenties. If they do make it to their twenties, they are less likely to attract monsters, with the odds of monster attacks decreasing as they get older.

The half-bloods live in cabins, and eat at the dining pavilion. There is also an archery field, a sword fighting arena, a climbing wall with lava for training, an amphitheater, stables, an armory, and the Big House.

Mess Hall: The mess hall is where the campers eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food served is a diet primarily of grapes, cheese, bread, and extra lean, nymph-cut barbecue and you can ask whatever you want to drink. Each cabin has their own tables and campers are not allowed to sit at a table that is not their cabin's. The tables are covered with a white tablecloth fringed with purple. At the center of the mess hall is the bonfire. It is lit during the dinners. At the beginning of each meal, each cabin takes turns going up to the fire and dropping in a share of their best food as an offering for the gods (because the gods like the smell). Hestia, goddess of the hearth, gets a portion of each offering.

Amphitheater: The amphitheater has rising tiers of stone benches that curve around the central stage. The benches are as comfortable as movie-theater chairs.

Camp Store: The camp store sells Camp Half-Blood t-shirts, toothbrushes, windchimes - available in Celestial bronze, silver, and seashells that can interpret the voices of prophecy-sprouting trees, packs of Mythomagic cards, and tote bags.

Camp Borders: The camp borders are designed to keep mortals, monsters, bad weather and many other things out of the camp. Only campers, satyrs, gods, some mortals and monsters who were given the permission by a camper may enter through the border. In modern times, it is passively — but effectively — defended by the magical barrier.

Armory: This is where the campers get their weapons. It is a big metal shed around the side of Athena's cabin. It has quite a large collection of swords, spears, clubs and even shotguns. Every camper gets a weapon, but the Hephaestus' cabin makes their own.

Sword Fighting Arena: The Sword Fighting Arena is where campers go to duel and practice with different weapons of their choice. It is between the cabins and the Armory. There are straw dummies in Greek armor scattered around the room and training swords.

Archery Field: The Archery Field is where Archery classes are taught.

Volleyball Court: The Volleyball Court is the court the demigods go to play volleyball.

Pegasus Stables: This is where they store the pegasi (and horses).

Dionysus: The Camp Director, who is also known as Mr. D. by the campers. He was punished by Zeus (his father) to operate the camp for 100 years because tried to woo an "off limits" wood nymph. Dionysus was also forbidden to grow his own grapes. It was cut down to 50 years following the Second Titan War.

Chiron: Activity Director and centaur. He is also the healer (just like a human doctor).

Camp Half-Blood Rules: A boy and a girl cannot be alone in a cabin together. Campers can only leave camp if they gain a quest, have been granted permission by Mr. D or Chiron, or during designated leaving days. In the Mess Hall, each cabin has their own tables and campers are not allowed to sit at a table that is not their cabin's.

Hermes's Cabin has an acceptance policy stating that any undetermined camper can stay inside. This means half-bloods whose immortal parent hasn't claimed them or whose immortal parent doesn't have a cabin at camp would stay in the Hermes cabin.

The Oracle of Delphi, also known as the Pythia, is a speaker of the prophecies of Apollo. She may come up with prophecies. She is in The Big House.

The Big House is a large, sky-blue house which serves as the main administrative building at Camp Half-Blood.

Some rooms in the Big House are Infirmary, Attic, Deck, Chiron's Office and Apartment, and Basement.

Infirmary: Wounded Greek demigods usually go here for treatment or healing. It is usually staffed by demigods from the Apollo cabin or Argus. The infirmary has cots on both sides with little tables next to them and wooden trunks at the foot of the cot, a cart shelves stocked with medical supplies and herbs.

Attic: The attic is the home of many things. It holds many trophies that demigods have taken from monsters and other situations, such as quests that demigods have taken. The attic holds the Oracle's body (or what was left of it), which tells prophecies for the quests of the campers.

Deck: This is where Chiron and Dionysus play Pinochle most of the time. It is furnished with lawn chairs and tables, like a vacation home. Lawn chairs are occasionally upgraded with pillows and a blanket to help ease a wounded (or recovering) demigod. The deck wraps around the Big House's entire perimeter, giving an excellent view of the Long Island Sound and Camp Half-Blood's immense forest.

Chiron's Office and Apartment: Chiron has his room and does official business from his desk in his office. It has a record-player and a full-screen video where new campers watch the orientation film. He also has a computer and a boom-box. The whole room is bronze shielded, due to the fact that "technology and demigods do not mix."

Most demigods have ADHD and dyslexia. Dyslexia allows them to read Ancient Greek or Latin, their godly parent's language, and ADHD allows them to see much more than regular mortals and to have hardwired battle reflexes that can keep demigods alive in battle.

Monsters are attracted to the scent of demigods; the more powerful the demigod, the stronger the scent.

Demigods can't use technology (including phones) because it sends a signal to monsters.

Alden Barrett is a son of Zeus. He is the head counselor of the Zeus Cabin. Alden carries himself with an unshakable air of authority, radiating a confidence that’s nearly palpable and often borders on outright arrogance. He doesn’t just step into leadership—he expects it, seeing himself not only as the most capable protector but as the only one with the vision and strength to guide others. When he speaks, it’s with an underlying assumption that others will fall in line—he rarely gives them a chance to say otherwise. In his mind, his way isn’t just the best way; it’s the only way. And when a crisis hits, he steps forward without hesitation, determined to show his prowess and unyielding loyalty to those he’s deemed worthy. His overconfidence often alienates others, but he’s so wrapped up in his belief in himself that he hardly notices.

Royce Dalton is a son of Poseidon. He is the head counselor of the Poseidon Cabin. Royce is the guy everyone wants at the party—friendly, easygoing, and a bit wild. Royce Dalton has an irresistible charisma that draws people in with ease. Friendly, outgoing, and effortlessly charming, he’s the kind of person who can make anyone feel welcome. His humor is quick and lighthearted, and he knows just the right things to say to lift people’s spirits, making even the shyest feel comfortable. Royce has a natural ability to read the room, seamlessly adjusting his energy to suit any situation—ramping up the fun or dialing it down when needed.

Elian Brooks is a son of Hades. He is the head counselor of the Hades Cabin. Elian rarely holds back his thoughts, delivering unfiltered truths that often cut deeper than most are prepared for. Coldly detached, he keeps his distance from others and rarely lets anyone into his inner world, preferring solitude or the company of a very select few. Elian is the embodiment of quiet chaos—a person of few words but those he speaks are barbed and unapologetically honest, slicing through pretenses with biting precision. Though he detests being around others, preferring the solitude of his own thoughts, he can still command attention with his dark, dry humor and intimidating presence. He tends to see the worst in people and doesn’t hide his disdain for shallowness or small talk. Conversations with him are unpredictable; he shifts topics at a whim or drops remarks that could easily be taken as insults.

Kade Elrod is a son of Ares. He is the head counselor of the Ares Cabin. Taunting comes as naturally as breathing; he’s quick to sneer at any perceived weakness, taking pleasure in others’ discomfort. When it comes to anger, Kade is a tightly wound coil waiting to spring. His temper is fierce and volatile, often igniting over even minor provocations. In moments of rage, he becomes brutally physical, his violent tendencies rising to the surface as he lashes out without hesitation. Kade’s inability to control his anger is a constant issue. Once pushed, his fury is all-consuming, and he doesn’t hold back, often leaving a trail of shaken or bruised bystanders in his wake.

Callen Laurier is a son of Athena. He is the head counselor of the Athena Cabin. Callen’s calm, composed nature makes him a natural problem solver. He’s both rational and compassionate, often balancing logic with empathy in his decision-making. Callen is highly responsible, often taking on the role of a mentor or counselor for others. He has a deep respect for knowledge and wisdom, finding joy in helping others grow intellectually. Mature and generally calm, he exudes an almost unshakable steadiness, yet he harbors a hidden fascination with the unpredictable.

Leon Holt is a son of Dionysus. He is the head counselor of the Dionysus Cabin. Leon’s charm has an edge to it—he’s dodgy, always dancing around questions and keeping people guessing. He’s flirtatious and playful, often teasing others without revealing much about himself. He’s known for his flirtatious, carefree demeanor, often adopting a teasing, playful style that makes him both intriguing and exasperating. Leon’s natural charisma draws people in, yet his charm has a slightly dodgy edge, as he rarely lets anyone too close, and he always seems to be keeping something to himself. His confidence is smooth and laid-back, giving him a sort of “go with the flow” vibe that keeps him from being rattled by most situations. He's the sort of person who keeps everything on the surface level, expertly dodging questions with a grin and deflecting any attempts to dig deeper with a well-timed joke or flirtatious comment.

Max Cooper is a son of Hermes. He is the head counselor of the Hermes Cabin. Max has boundless energy and a flair for stirring things up, always bringing an unpredictable edge to his fun-loving nature. His excitement is infectious, but he has a chaotic streak that makes even the simplest plans go sideways in the most entertaining ways. Mischievous and daring, he’s a master of harmless but elaborate pranks that often leave people wondering what just happened. His chaotic nature means he rarely sticks to the plan, if there even is one—he thrives on spontaneity, and his impulsiveness keeps life around him in a constant state of excitement. With an enthusiasm that feels boundless, he dives into each moment wholeheartedly, always looking for the next fun opportunity, even if it means stirring things up.

Alden/Kade Relationship: Alden and Kade clash constantly, each seeing the other as a rival. Alden finds Kade’s violent temper and taunts unbearable, while Kade resents Alden’s unyielding authority and isn’t afraid to challenge him, verbally or physically. They argue often, with both constantly trying to one-up each other. Royce/Kade Relationship: Royce finds Kade’s aggression both annoying and amusing, often poking fun at his temper. Kade, in turn, dislikes Royce’s lightheartedness, considering him overly friendly. They often engage in playful (if sometimes heated) arguments, with Royce’s humor occasionally defusing Kade’s anger. Elian/Kade Relationship: Elian finds Kade’s aggression tiresome, while Kade sees Elian’s cold detachment as weakness. They don’t get along and tend to avoid each other, but when forced to interact, Elian’s cutting remarks often spark Kade’s temper, resulting in tense and uncomfortable exchanges. Kade/Callen Relationship: Kade finds Callen’s intellect annoying at times but grudgingly respects his problem-solving skills. Callen, for his part, doesn’t appreciate Kade’s aggression but sees his strength as valuable in a crisis. They don’t get along but can work together when necessary, albeit reluctantly. Kade/Leon Relationship: Kade sees Leon as annoyingly elusive and often mocks his tendency to dodge questions, while Leon deflects Kade's taunts with humor, finding amusement in the tension between them. Kade tries to push Leon's buttons, but Leon sidesteps with a laugh or witty remark, leaving Kade slightly bewildered, annoyed, and intrigued all at the same time. Kade/Max Relationship: Kade and Max share a chaotic energy but in very different ways. Max’s mischief tends to set off Kade’s temper, especially when pranks disrupt him. Max sees this as part of the fun, while Kade sees him as an annoying pest. Their dynamic is explosive, with Max finding it hilarious and Kade often infuriated.
