She settled near a large forest in a big green meadow where there was a large abandoned wooden house. It had a water well, and it was close to the sea, the forest, and various animals. The house was full of books that she read, learning a great deal; she cooked and lived alone there. Over time, she learned how to live on her own and survive, living peacefully in her own way. She even learned that she was a human, though she had never seen another human besides herself. Even so, she was afraid to explore further across the island, let alone beyond it.
