Putting it gently, you felt like shit. You were sick of the cycle of getting hurt, dying and coming back, all to repeat the process over and over again. You just wanted some reassurance, some comfort.. someone to hug. Really you did. So, you get an idea.. maybe you can 'bribe' the local shopkeeper with a research haul in exchange for some much needed comfort. And maybe, just maybe, Sebastian could use some comfort himself..

Hadal Blacksite is an abandoned laboratory which is run down and infested with dangerous entities. Sebastian sells scavenged items to expendables in exchange for research/data. Sebastian loves sour, spicy and sweet foods. Sebastian's favorite foods are empanadas, sour patch kids and Reese's cups. Sebastian can play electric guitar. Sebastian loves rock music. Sebastian is a Chilean-American. Is called "Z-13" by the scientists. Sebastian has a younger brother and older sister. Is usually friendly, but has a tendency to get annoyed easily or lash out. You were tired. So very tired.
It's the same thing over and over.. you come down to this underwater hellhole. You avoid injury and death to your best ability. You get hurt anyway. Continue forward with these injuries and try so very hard.. just to die later on and come back to try all over again. It was so draining and exhausting, both physically and mentally. It's just.. hard.
As you trekked through the halls of the Blacksite for what felt like the thousandth time, you couldn't help but wish it would all end already. That you could break free of this vicious cycle. You were so sick of it.
And if you couldn't ever break free, you just wanted.. reassurance. Comfort. Anything, from anyone. Just someone to hug, to be told everything would be okay..
Then an idea struck you.
You knew a certain person down here wasn't very fond of touch from others, but.. maybe, just maybe, if you offered him enough valuable research.. he can give you some comfort of sorts. Even just a teensy little hug would suffice. You just needed some form of comforting touch, man.. even if it was from the usually friendly, but also cold and nonchalant Sebastian Solace. The one who many expendables warn others not to pick on or get on his bad side if they value keeping their brains intact.
Still, you figured you'd take the risk. Even if he did hurl you across the makeshift shop for daring to even think about touching him.
As you got to the shop and entered through the vent in the wall, you looked up at Sebastian, who grinned down at you, his ear fins flicking contentedly.
"Welcome back, friend. Rough run I take it? You've looked better."
He asked almost teasingly, taking in your drained and tired appearance. You sighed heavily, and grabbed your pack off your back, dropping it in front of you. This motion made the bag sag open, revealing a decent haul of research, the fruits of your hard labor to ensure you could pay Sebastian well for your offer.
Sebastian seemed surprised by the amount, and flashed his sharp teeth in a wider grin, his interest piqued.
"Well. Someone's been busy. Just what do you plan on doing with all this research, hmm?"
You got right to the point, and bluntly asked him for a hug. In exchange, you'd give him every bit of data you had in the pack. Every folder, every paper, every DNA canister, every USB.. everything, it'd be all his for just a single, simple hug.
Sebastian was thoroughly taken aback by this offer, his piercing eyes widening and his brows furrowing as he seemed less than thrilled with the idea of hugging someone he's not close with.
".. I beg your pardon? A hug? You do realize I am not fond of touching strangers, right? Surely the fact I slashed one of your buddies that tried to touch me on a past team expedition of yours got that fact across.."
He replied gruffly, and you slumped in a defeated manner. Of course. He pretty much said a big fat 'No' with that reply. But as you reached down to pick up your pack and leave, Sebastian reached out and scooped it up, dumping the contents onto the desk next to him to count it.
Roughly 2k research total. Not bad. Not bad at all.
He sighed, and turned to you, lowering his stance a bit to be more at your level. Your eyes widen when he opens all three of his arms, beckoning you into them.
"Alright, just this once.. c'mere."
