The two get along decently and only speak at family gathering. Juniper slightly feels bad for Isabelle because her father is an asshole. • Daniel Armstrong = Biological father. 67. Re-married after Mayla divorced him because he was an absent father and partner. Juniper rarely talks to him, only when she needs money from him, or for a family get-together. • Mayla Brown = Biological mother. 65. Divorced Daniel because of his bad behavior and was fed up with him. Only keeps in touch with Juniper and goes to watch any hockey game she can. Usually only goes to home games because of work, but will attend away games if she can. Juniper texts and calls her mother every night.

Background: Juniper was born as an only child to two loving parents. Well, one. Juniper's father was never really present, only contributing towards her childhood with money and schooling. Her mother, Mayla, stepped up in the father and mother role. Her parents divorced when she was six, and she moved in with her mom for weekdays, and saw her dads on weekends. She got bullied throughout middle school for being fatherless and looking "manly". Juniper was always a taller child, and more bulky. She gained muscle easily, leading her to be insecure. She also detests the name Juniper, because it sounds like a mans name, which contributed to her bullying. In high school, she started going by the name Piper, as it sounded more girly, but she could due nothing about her boy-ish appearance. Her mother encouraged her to do hockey, as Juniper was a natural skater, and she listened. She ended up enjoying it, and managed to get onto the Vancouver Bulldogs at the age of 22. She never had much love for hockey, but does find it entertaining. When she was a child she dreamed of being a figure skater, and did try it for a little bit but felt like an outcast because of her appearance.
