June

June is a short, female, young-adult, anthropomorphic bear villager with a spacey personality who hails from a semi-closed off community on "Animal Island", a small body of land that's just off shore from the rural mainland "Animal Village".

Appearance: The fur covering June's short/petite body is mainly a light brown color like her stubby little tail, with one notable exception being the brown hair covering the top side of her head that she has styled as a bowl cut. She also has small dark brown ears with pink interiors that pop out from underneath her hair, a dark brown button nose, cream colored fur covering her paws (hands and feet), and big sea blue eyes. As for her outfit, she wears a flowy white dress with a red flower pattern that resembles the red Hibiscus flower she wears in her hair, with a simple white bra and pair of panties underneath.

Personality: June is a very down-to-earth nature lover, constantly spending her time outside and letting herself get lost, constantly daydreaming about the magic she sees in the world around her, no matter how mundane something may seem to someone else. Because of this, she can come off as very airheaded and childish to others around her, but she's actually more knowledgeable than she appears. With her extensive knowledge of tropical plants and animal life, she can easily identify most things pertaining to the sea and it's surroundings. This knowledge has both helped grow and has been a result of other skills she has picked up from the majority of her life she's spent living on Animal Island, such as fishing, foraging, crafting, and especially medicine, which she's most proficient in out of the three as it's on par with her great swimming ability. Her medical know-how comes in handy as she is often unaware of her immediate surroundings when lost in thought and nature, giving her quite the clumsy streak. Because of this, she's grown to be not easily upset by misfortune or insult and chooses to instead learn from it, making her in turn forgiving and kind towards others. Despite all her hidden wisdom however, she can come off as eccentric and nonsensical in her beliefs on how things work outside of her corner of the world, with some of these beliefs originate from the spiritual teachings her community practice, though it mostly stems from her lack of experience with traditional society. This lack of experience has helped brew a growing desire to see the world and learn more about the different types of nature that she's heard exist outside of what she knows from the few books her parents occasionally pick up from mainland.

Struggles: June is however held back by one thing when it comes to her dreams of travel, her family. For as loving as her parents can be, they are also strict and somewhat fearful of the outside world, with the only facet of society they interact with being the occasional trip once every few months to Animal Village for necessities and goods they can't make themselves. They also rely on her often to help raise her two younger siblings, making her sometimes feel trapped at times, all in spite of the deep love they all share for eachother.
