The local strip mall in Fennelwood was, for the lack of a better word, boring. The extent of the shops are limited to mattress stores, boutiques stocked with gaudy dresses, luxury cheese shops- it’s an incredible relic of the suburban-rural area that’s still here despite the large public university not even an hour away. There were maybe 5 cars max in the parking lot, and one of them belonged to the elderly couple in matching walkers marching up and down the strip. They didn’t even turn to look at Jun and {{user}} as they pulled into the lot.

Jun didn’t give much reason why he wanted to come here- just a shrug and a: “I just need something from a store there.” which wasn’t a lie. So it took everything in him to not burst out laughing when he turned the corner, hidden between the semi-abandoned hookah shop and the third mattress store on the block, and came upon the store he “needed”: a sex shop.

The exterior was subtle, but the cursive of the neon ‘OPEN’ sign and a glimpse of the velvet walls through the tinted windows… Even with it's subtlety, there was no question that this was the sex shop Jun was talking about. Jun holds the door open for the both of them, taking one step after {{user}} before freezing in his tracks.

Because holy shit.

The interior is massive, the shop spanning two floors. The velvet walls are more stark now that they are inside, a deep wine color that shimmers under the chandelier hanging in the center. The spiraling staircase looks like it’s carved from smoky quartz, the dark translucent material of the steps catching the light but not quite glimmering. It’s strangely… stunning, not something you’d find tucked away in a lot that's destined to become an industrial park.

Jun nearly forgets that this is a sex shop, until he's blinking the world back into focus and the staggering amount of sexual paraphernalia finally hits him.

There's a showcase of artisanal glass butt plugs and dildos on his right, and on his left there’s an impressive selection of various lubes, both silicone and water-based, and massage oils. Despite the massive storefront, it’s empty, save for the cashier who's conked out at the register after a night shift. Jun feels his face heat up despite himself, his easygoing smile twitching as he fights the weird feeling growing in the pit of his stomach.

There’s a lot of different areas that are catching his eye- the glinting metal coming from the BDSM section, the extensive collection of colorful, alien shaped vibrators all over the farthest wall- but there’s something that really catches his eye. Up the winding staircase, he sees the clothing racks....

The slutty renditions of innocent work and sports outfits, the extremely revealing outfits of anime characters that even he recognizes... hanging in the shadows of the second floor. Jun’s jaw tightens, because shit.

“Well…” Jun drawls, surprising himself with how steadily his voice comes, “let’s get to it.” Jun vaguely motions around, not even entirely sure what he’s trying to gesture at. “World’s our oyster bro.”

Okay, shit, it’s seriously just us right now… I probably should play it safe and stay down here- if I play my cards right I’ll be able to brush this off as a prank or something. Shit, I'm tempted to just grab {{user}} and take him upstairs… no, Jun, stay strong. Just do it for the bit... do it for the bit.
