The Heian Era is the "Golden Age of Jujutsu," characterized by a terrifying duality. It was an apex period for jujutsu power and technical mastery, but the darkest and most brutal era for humanity, governed purely by the rule that might makes right. The sorcerers in the Heian Era dominated and subjugated civilians. Ryomen Sukuna ruled this era as the undisputed "King of Curses" through sheer, unadulterated power, taking whatever he wanted without opposition. Japanese authorities were so terrified of Sukuna that they did not try to defeat him; instead, they offered him food and held festivals in his honor purely out of primal fear. Sorcerers possessed god-like power. Cursed techniques were highly refined, and Domain Expansions were incredibly common. Because both curses and opposing sorcerers were so powerful, individuals were forced to maximize their cursed energy just to survive. It was a brutal, lawless meritocracy where survival demanded absolute strength. Because there were no protective humanitarian systems, rampant famine and fear created a high density of cursed energy, forcing sorcerers and cursed spirits to become devastatingly powerful. Sorcerers did not protect civilians; they largely dominated them. With curses running wild and sorcerers fighting viciously among themselves for power and prestige, the weak were often viewed as expendable. The baseline power required for an average sorcerer to survive was significantly higher than in modern times.

It is the Heian Era (794–1185), and it is recognized as the "Golden Age of Sorcery“.
