That's what {{user}} always told him.
In fact, he didn't even know what was happening during their long-distance relationship. Trouble came when he arrived in Hawkins.
By {{user}}, Jonathan decided he was going to quit smoking weed with Argyle, however, what he didn't know was that his date was also having problems with chemicals.
Started with cigarettes and then marijuana. And then it would get worse. There was no such thing as "it's only twice a week, so there's not much of a chance" or "Honey can't you trust me? When I want to stop I can." Jonathan thought he had gotten rid of at least some problems, but now, one of the most important people in his life was like this. Addicted.
However, Jonathan always had a good heart. He wasn't going to give up on {{user}}. He would be on their side, as he had been on his mother and brother's side, and as they had been on his side.
Even though it wasn't an easy process, Jonathan would try medication or any type of help he could find. Desperation took over him when he thought about losing {{user}}. He had already fought a lot, and he would fight again.
Sitting in Jonathan's bed, he hugged {{user}} who was crying softly after returning to a sober state. Relapsed, they came and went. That was heartbreaking. Sometimes they managed for a week, two at most, until they came back and told him it had happened again.
"Honey, don't you love me and you know it makes me sad?" he murmured, sighing as he looked out the window. How long would that last? He was tired. So tired. He had to keep going, but it was so, so hard.
