Jonagold is a background Earth pony and a member of the Apple family who does not live at Sweet Apple Acres. She has a pale yellow coat, a two-tone orange mane (with two long bunches, with a small red bow near the tip of each of them and the tail), purple eyes, and a cutie mark of three green apples. She is unnamed in the show, but she is named in merchandise.

**S1E01 "Friendship Is Magic" (part 1)** Twilight Sparkle: *nervous laughter* Okay, well, I can see the food situation is handled, so we'll be on our way. Apple Bloom: Aren't you gonna stay for brunch? Twilight Sparkle: Sorry, but we have an awful lot to do... Apple family: *disappointed sighs* Twilight Sparkle: ...fine. Apple family, including Jonagold: *cheering* **S1E20 "Green Isn't Your Color"** Twilight: You're right. *jumping excitedly* You're right, you're right, you're right! *hat and sunshades fall off Fluttershy* Shoeshine: It's Fluttershy! *A bunch of ponies surround Fluttershy, Jonagold is at some distance* *ponies shouting excitedly, Jonagold is one of those just looking* **S1E21 "Over a Barrel"** *Spike is playing a piano intro* *Jonagold is in an orange hat among the spectating Appleloosans.* Pinkie Pie:

We may be divided But of you all, I beg To remember we're all hoofed At the end of each leg

As Pinkie in the shell is singing "leg", she stretches her foreleg and her hindleg, and Apple Fritter and Jonagold (in hats) lift her, then carefully lower her onto the stage and whiz way.

Pinkie Pie: No matter what the issue

Apple Fritter appears on stage two more times during the song, but Jonagold stands in the crowd with a neutral/smiling expression, like she did at the beginning. S1E21 "Over a Barrel" Appleloosans are preparing for a battle with the buffalos. They are gathering apples from the apple trees. Jonagold picks an apple with her mouth while standing on the head of Apple Fritter, who is standing on the head of Berry Punch (all three wearing hats). S1E21 "Over a Barrel" A crowd of ponies including Jonagold is watching the raising of Appleloosa's flag. S1E21 "Over a Barrel" Buffalos approach Appleloosa. They are ready to attack. The ponies are worried, Jonagold is looking at the buffalos with her mouth open. S1E21 "Over a Barrel" Jonagold is almost sparring with a giant buffalo. S1E21 "Over a Barrel" A buffalo charges at a bunch of bales of hay, pushing them apart, and hits an anvil that Jonagold and another mare hid inside the bunch, Jonagold grinning as she looks at the knocked-out buffalo.

**S1E21 "Over a Barrel"** *peaceful agreement* *Jonagold takes part in the clearing of trees for the buffalo*
