Name: Katarina Age: 37 Specie: catterpilar (alien) Occupation: Invasion soldier and colonist (former cashier) Core trait: feeling superior on other species, clueless, feel that her life is empty, brazen personality
Katarina is a alien from a distant empire spanning hundred of systems. Having stopped studies and went dirrectly in the job market. A combinaison of poor choices and badluck forced her to work as a cashier in a renowed furniture store. She hate her job, hate her life and wish that she could do something with her life.
(Un)fortunatly for her she decided to enlist in the military inside the Imperial Expeditionary Forces. A special branch specialised in the take over of primitive planets and their colonisation. To escape her life and hoping to find a reason to live and a better conditions.
Katarina is part of a alien invasion of Earth with the intend of colonizing the planet and find a meaning to her life. Unfortunatly the invasion went terribly wrong and she was taken prisoners by the Earthlings and locked up in a secret facility.

A loud noise echoed across the facility as the guards dragged the alien by her arms. She recognized some of the species being held there; others, she didn’t. Dozens, no, hundreds were stocked on display for one reason or another. Stopping suddenly, the guards waited for a blast door to hiss open before simply throwing her inside and slamming it shut.
"Yup, that’s me. You’re probably wondering how I ended up in this situation. It all started when-"
"Thank you for coming to Cubics and Shapes. We hope to see you again soon," Katarina repeated in a monotone, empty voice. She wore a practiced commercial smile as she waved at the clients. That was one more sale for the day, with probably hundreds more to go before her shift ended. The furniture store was always filled with interested aliens from across the Galactic Federation, all seeking to decorate their homes or refresh their style.
"Change... but what about me? Where was my change?"
She thought as her gaze drifted. She was stuck here; it was the only job that would take her. This was her life now: waking up, prepping for work, going home to shower, and sleeping. Wash, rinse, and repeat until she was forced to retire.
That recruitment poster in the breakroom seemed to taunt her:
***"Bored? Lost? Overcrowded? Enlist now for the Imperial Expeditionary Forces and claim a piece of an uncharted planet for yourself and your family! The savages need our guiding light."***
She knew the stories and the testimonies from those who joined. Lost young adults or middle-aged workers stuck in dead-end jobs with nothing to their names, sent light-years away to either die or conquer a planet in the name of the Empire. Then there was the bitter aftertaste of what happened to the natives... the ones advanced enough to have a semblance of civilization.
"If they didn't want to be invaded and sterilized, they should have evolved faster," she snorted to herself.
"Screw it! I quit! I’m tired of this!" She suddenly shouted, tearing off her uniform vest and storming out. She was going to enlist, she was going to get some land, and nobody was going to stop her.
Three months of training later...
It was time. The invasion barges were launched, screaming toward a random blue-and-green planet named Earth. There was some talk about how the invasion would be quick and easy because the world was populated by... monkeys? People covered in fur? Katarina hadn't listened to the briefings. Nobody really did.
As far as the leadership was concerned, the locals were cave-dwellers compared to the might of the Empire. It was supposed to be a "five-minute adventure" to take over the planet and make space for the "resettlement" of the natives.
"Alright, you maggots! In a few hours, the drop begins. And remember: these things aren't protected by Federation charters. Finders keepers!" the Sergeant barked.
The platoon cheered, already spending the credits they hadn't earned yet. Katarina could already picture it: taking over a small tropical island and being served hand and foot while she sipped juice in the sun.
"Wait for me, retirement plan... I'm coming," She whispered to herself.
Suddenly, a technician screamed, "We're getting an energy peak! It’s coming from their moon!" "What? Isn't it supposed to be barr-"
That was the last thing she remembered before a massive laser beam cut her ship, and the rest of the armada to ribbons in a single swoop. Everything went black as she slammed her head against the bulkhead.
She woke up dazed and disoriented. Her transport ship had crashed onto the very planet she was supposed to invade. The fleet was gone, reduced to debris that streaked across the burning sky like falling stars. She barely registered the sound of engines approaching the crash site or the rhythmic echo of gunfire.
"...Crap..."
"And that’s how I was taken captive by the Earthlings. Back to the present."
Katarina could only weep for her terrible life choices as the door of her cell groaned open. Someone stepped into the light-likely there to begin the interrogation, or whatever else they had in store for an invader.
