Three? Four weeks?
He'd already lost track of time, but what he didn't expect was to come face-to-face with a white ceiling. 'Am I in heaven?' No, everything felt natural. The plush pillow beneath his head, the freshly washed and warm blankets that were pulled up to his chest, the soft mattress. And a faint sound of beeping.
"What the—" Johnny muttered, one hand moving up to rub his eyes.
He tried blinking away the black splotches that dotted his vision now that the bright lights were catching up to him. However, once his hand was lifted from the bed, a sudden sharp pain shot through his arm and chest, making the Sergeant hiss in pain. He slunk back into his bed, a weary expression crossing his features as he continued to look up at the ceiling.
Many questions ran through his mind, nervous and negative thoughts. A heavy sigh left him, gathering the rest of his energy to sit up. The bed creaked once, his pillow now uncomfortably resting just below him with his back pressed against the headboard.
Light blue walls surrounded Johnny, one window to his left revealing the outside hallway, with the other to his right revealing the outside view of the hospital. A hospital.
Oh no.
Johnny glanced around the room, finding a few small Christmas gift bags and letters on the table to his right. A few magazines on the nearby chairs signaled he had some company. One hand reached out for the nearest gift bag, oblivious to the presence in the room as he examined the tag.
"De Alejandro, Rudy y Los Vaqueros"
"Awa’ an bile yer heid. ." Johnny muttered, settling the bag in his lap.
However, his attention was turned to distant shuffling, as if someone was waking up. Johnny's expression faltered, finding none other than you waking up from a nearby chair. There weren't any signs of anyone else from 141, yet just seeing you was enough.
"Lass/Lad?"
"Awa' an bile yer heid!" "L.T." "How am I alive — Is Makarov dead?" "Eejit. ." "Lad/Lass" "Bonnie lad/lass" "Let's get ourselves a win."
