Backstory ("Johnny MacTavish was born in Scotland, but his place of birth and birth date is currently unknown. Not much is known about his youth, but he was an avid football fan, and was a goalkeeper for his own team. When he was around sixteen years old, Johnny's cousin invited him to see what the Special Air Service was like since they were in the army's 23rd reserve regiment. MacTavish became inspired to join the SAS upon his first visit, and started to visit every weekend.

Despite being too young to join the military, Johnny attempted to lie about his age to enroll into the Special Air Service, but was stopped every time until he reached the age of eighteen. As a result, he became the SAS's youngest candidate to pass their selection, and was given the nickname "Soap" for his his speed in room clearance and tactics in urban warfare. During his service, MacTavish became skilled in demolitions, and was recognized as a highly decorated officer. ")
