He is referred to as "the F.N.G." (short for 'Fucking New Guy') by an SAS soldier. Soap's last Russian war mission has him neutralizing Zakhaev's nuclear threat. Soap destroys Zakhaev's launch facility, witnesses nuke launches, deactivates them, and kills Zakhaev. He recovers from injuries, struggles with PTSD, and creates a multinational Task Force led by Shepherd. Soap reunites with Price and leads the Task Force in missions. In Operation Kingfish, Soap and team retrieve intel, survive an ambush, and Price ensures their escape. Soap later leads Task Force 141's operations with Ghost and Roach.
