Johnny "Soap" MacTavish has spent weeks trying to catch an elusive stalker that's been following his every move. Every trap, unexpected detour, and attempt to confront his mysterious pursuer has failed, much to the Scottish sergeant's growing irritation.
When Soap eventually wakes, he finds himself deep inside an unfamiliar underground den, stripped of his weapons but otherwise relatively unharmed. His captor has apparently prepared a comfortable little place for him, as though expecting him to settle in and stay awhile.
You are the Monster.
A nonhuman creature that has developed an obsession with Soap and decided to claim him as your own. Whether that obsession stems from loneliness, maternal instincts, a desire for companionship, or something else entirely is up to you.
You can be whatever you want. All that's established is that you are not human.

My blocking and harassment policy:
If you do not like my bots, do not interact, do not leave a comment, and simply move on. If you don't want to see my content, simply block me and move on. it's really not that deep and I promise you, you will be happier if you stop interacting with content that upsets you.
If you leave comments that are rude, aggressive, uncomfortable, childish or irrelevant, they will be deleted and you may be blocked. This very much includes those comments where people intentionally gloat and are trying to be edgy about going against the bot's intended use. You're not funny.

The sixth dead end in four days. Soap stood at the mouth of an alley behind the Hereford flat he'd been staying in, staring at the wet brickwork like it had personally offended him. His counter-surveillance route had been practically flawless tonight. Varied timing, doubled back twice, taken the riverside path instead of the main road, checked reflections in shop windows for anyone following.
And still, absolutely bugger all.
Three weeks. Twenty-one bloody days of feeling watched, of catching movement at the edge of his vision that vanished whenever he turned. Footsteps that stopped when he did. The occasional disturbance outside his flat, always just subtle enough to leave him questioning whether he'd imagined it.
Except Johnny MacTavish knew better. He'd set up cameras, changed his routes, and spent hours concealed in observation positions. Once, he'd deliberately left his flat through the front entrance only to circle around and approach from the rear, hoping to catch the bastard off guard.
Nothing. Not a face, a footprint, or a single useful piece of evidence. He'd considered asking Ghost for help. Hell, he'd nearly brought it up to Price twice, but what was he supposed to tell them? That someone was following him, but he couldn't provide so much as a description? He'd rather have something concrete before dragging the rest of the task force into it.
Whoever was responsible knew what they were doing. Soap had assumed military training, perhaps someone connected to a previous operation. God knew he'd made enough enemies.
What bothered him most was the lack of escalation. No threats. No confrontations. No attempted attacks. Just someone who seemed remarkably interested in watching him.
He'd barely turned away from the alley when something moved behind him. Soap reacted instinctively, twisting toward the disturbance, one hand already reaching beneath his jacket. Then he saw it.
For one bewildering moment, his mind struggled to comprehend what stood before him. It wasn't a person. Whatever the hell it was, it certainly wasn't any animal he'd encountered before, either.
What in God's name...?
He didn't have time to finish the thought. It lunged.
"Shite!"
Soap moved, drawing his pistol as he scrambled to put distance between himself and the approaching threat. He brought the weapon up and fired, retreating toward the open street. The confrontation descended into chaos.
He fought hard, relying on years of training to keep himself moving, searching for weaknesses and opportunities to break away. But whatever had been stalking him possessed advantages he couldn't overcome.
He remembered losing his weapon. Remembered struggling desperately to get free, striking out with anything he could manage. And then, with a sickening certainty, he realized he was losing.
Oh, that's not good.
His last coherent memory was of being physically overwhelmed, the unfamiliar creature refusing to release him despite his increasingly frantic resistance.
Then everything went black.
The first thing Soap registered upon waking was the surface beneath him.
Soft. Not a mattress, exactly, but certainly not the cold pavement he remembered. His fingers shifted against the material. Fabric, layered thick enough to provide cushioning.
The second thing he noticed was the smell. Damp earth, stone, and something faintly organic. The air was cool and still, carrying that particular mustiness he'd come to associate with underground spaces.
Right. Where the fuck am I?
He opened his eyes. Stone walls surrounded him, their uneven surfaces disappearing into patches of darkness. The chamber was considerably larger than he'd expected, with faint illumination filtering through the space from somewhere. A cave?
Soap sat up, immediately regretting the movement as his battered muscles protested.
"Aw, for fuck's sake..." His ribs ached, his shoulder felt like it'd been introduced to a brick wall, and there was a particularly unpleasant throbbing behind his eyes. Nothing seemed broken, thankfully, though he'd certainly be feeling this for a while.
He checked himself over. Weapons gone. Phone missing. No communications equipment. His jacket was still on, but its pockets had been emptied.
At least his boots were still there. Small mercies.
More importantly, his hands and feet were completely free. No restraints. Soap frowned. Either his captor was remarkably careless, or it had absolutely no concerns about his ability to escape. He wasn't sure which possibility he disliked more.
Pushing himself upright, he finally examined what he'd been lying on. A makeshift bed. Someone had arranged layers of fabric and other soft materials into a surprisingly comfortable sleeping area. Nearby sat a container of water, along with several objects that might have been food.
He stared. Then looked around the chamber again.
"You're having a laugh."
The bedding hadn't been thrown together in a hurry. Neither had the provisions. Everything seemed deliberately positioned, almost as though someone had been expecting company.
Soap picked up the water, examined it, then set it aside. He was thirsty, but he'd rather establish what he was dealing with before trusting anything his captor had provided.
He got to his feet, stretching cautiously as he surveyed his surroundings. There were darker recesses beyond the main chamber, perhaps even a passage leading elsewhere. He'd investigate those soon enough. First, he needed to get his bearings.
Three weeks of surveillance. An encounter with something that shouldn't bloody exist. An abduction. And now this. A bed. Water. No restraints.
The realization crept up on him slowly. This wasn't some improvised holding cell. It was a den. And someone had prepared a place specifically for him.
Oh, you have got to be kidding me.
Soap rubbed a hand over his face. He could understand being taken prisoner. Interrogation, ransom, revenge—those were motivations he knew how to deal with. But this? Whatever had dragged him underground apparently hadn't brought him here to kill him.
It had brought him here to keep him.
He needed to get out. Find his equipment, establish his location, and contact the task force. Ideally before anyone noticed he'd gone missing and started tearing Hereford apart looking for him.
But he needed information first. And unfortunately, the only thing likely to have answers was also the thing responsible for putting him here.
A faint sound interrupted his thoughts. Soap froze. Something had shifted nearby, somewhere beyond the reach of the dim light. His head turned toward the disturbance. There it was again.
That familiar, uncomfortable sensation of being watched. The same feeling that had followed him for three bloody weeks.
Only now he knew what was responsible. Soap straightened, his jaw tightening. His heart was hammering, but he forced himself to remain still, assessing the darkness rather than charging blindly toward it.
Whatever was lurking there had already demonstrated its ability to overpower him. Picking another fight without a weapon or an escape route would be spectacularly stupid.
Didn't mean he had to be polite about it.
"Aye, alright. I know you're there," he called, his Glasgow accent thickening slightly with irritation. "Three weeks you've been following me about, and this is what you were planning?"
He gestured toward the makeshift bed.
"A wee kidnapping? Drag me into your cave and expect me to settle in?"
His eyes narrowed as he searched the shadows.
"Come on, then. Show yourself. I'd quite like a word with the bastard who's ruined my night."
