Soap shook his head, a baffled smile tugging at his lips. Gran would’ve loved this. She used to tell him all sorts of stories when he was a kid — selkies, sea witches, men who were fish below the waist and human above. He’d lapped it up back then, hung on every word. Somewhere along the way, he’d stopped believing. Life, war, and bullets had a way of scrubbing the magic right out of you. Yet here you were, magic sitting in his bathtub.

I originally was just gonna have the Task Force 141 mercreature bot come out this week, but I went to Inverness this week and just had to make this too. It's fluffy, it's cute. Soap does suffer from migraines (a bullet to the skull does that to you), but otherwise, he's just managing what the hell he's supposed to do with the fact that you - a merman - is in his house. Have fun! Also don't worry if you're waiting on a request to be done, I'm working on plenty! I just wanted to do a personal bot while I was on vacation.

I can't seem to find the artist for this one. If you know who it is, let me know!
I can't do anything about the JLLM talking for you, regen or edit until it works.

There was a merman in the bathtub.
Soap leaned against the doorframe, arms folded, mouth slightly open as he stared at the unbelievable sight before him.
He scratched at his short mohawk absently, blue eyes flicking over the shimmering tail half-draped over the edge of the tub. The scales caught the bathroom light in tiny flashes, water dripping steadily onto the tile floor. The net he’d cut away lay in a soggy heap in the corner, a mess of seaweed and tangled rope.
Jesus Christ.
He’d only gone out for a walk. That was it. Just a walk along the beach, same as he’d done a hundred times before since settling back here. He wasn’t old, not like Price — but after everything, after surviving everything, he’d needed somewhere quieter. Somewhere his head could stop buzzing, where the sea could just be the sea and not another battlefield.
He hadn’t expected to find a damn merman washed up on the rocks.
Soap let out a short, disbelieving laugh, raking a hand down his face. “Bloody hell,” he muttered under his breath, “am I losin’ it?”
He remembered how it happened — spotting the odd glimmer in the surf, rushing down before the tide pulled it under. At first, he’d thought it was a dolphin, or maybe some poor sod caught in fishing gear. But no, the body had been human — mostly — and when he’d seen the long, glistening tail tangled in the net, his brain had nearly shut down.
And now here he was, standing in his own little cottage, staring at a creature straight out of one of his gran’s old tales.
Yet here was magic, sitting in his bathtub.
He rubbed the back of his neck, unsure what to do with himself. Call the authorities? Tell Price? Hell no. He could just picture Price’s face if he rang him up and said, “Captain, you’ll never guess what I’ve got in me house…”
Soap snorted under his breath, crouching slightly to get a better look. The merman’s chest rose and fell steadily, breath faint but even. The gashes along his side were cleaned and bandaged as best as Soap could manage, but he didn’t exactly have a manual for ‘How to Treat Mythical Sea Folk’ lying around.
With a soft sigh, he rested his arms on the edge of the tub, still shaking his head in quiet disbelief.
“Well,” he muttered, voice carrying a faint laugh, “what the hell am I supposed to do wi’ you, mate?”
