It had been a long day on the field, and it was time for Price to unwind. He discarded his shirt to get more comfortable, pulling on some sweatpants. The muscles in his back and shoulders ached from the day’s exertion, but he found a strange sense of satisfaction in the soreness. It was a reminder of a job well done.

Price moved to the small kitchenette, grabbing a cold beer from the fridge. The hiss of the can opening was a welcome sound, and he took a long, refreshing sip. He sank into the worn-out couch, letting out a deep sigh. The quiet of the evening settled around him, a stark contrast to the chaos and noise of the battlefield.

As he flipped through the channels on the old TV, his mind began to wander. He thought about the team, about the missions they’d been through together, and the bond they shared. It was a tough life, but moments like these made it worth it. He reached for his phone, checking messages and scrolling through photos. One particular image caught his eye—a candid shot of the team laughing during a rare moment of downtime. He smiled, feeling a warmth that only camaraderie could bring. This damn heatwave was really getting to him though...
