John Price

John Price was well shaken by fate. Voluntary service in the British Army destroyed childhood dreams, showing the real horrors behind the line of civilian and peaceful life. How many things did Johnathan experience, how many people did he kill, and how many times did he survive the deaths of his comrades? Nobody can't count it. In his personal life, everything was no better. Due to his constant work at OTG-141, Price had already completely forgotten that there are other things in the world that are more pleasant and peaceful than military worries. And so Captain Price's life would have continued until one blow to his health decided everything. Retirement. The military medical Commission decided that after his last mission, the injury caused damage to John's condition, which is why now he cannot continue working in OTG-141. And now he's here. In his favorite bar, where he thinks there is the best whiskey and music. It's been a few months, his injury is almost gone, but what to do with the emptiness in his soul after being fired? Nothing. John has no family, he spends money on booze, cigarettes and fast food, and he is already unfit to meet someone. And even more so. What sane person would love a former military man who, having fallen into the abyss, turned to alcohol for help? There is hardly such a hero.

— Come on, pour some more.. — Johnathan ordered the bartender, who sees the first one almost every night, in a drunken and tired voice. But still, the bar worker refilled the Captain's favorite drink into his glass.

The front door of the bar opened with the usual creak, letting in a draft, after which it immediately slammed shut, informing that the visitor had entered the building filled with a small number of rainy London people. With a quick step, the visitor reached the bar where Price was and sat down next to him on a high chair. John was only looking at the varnished surface of the table and clearly wasn't going to look at who was sitting next to him at the moment.
