Captain John Price had been smitten with you since the first time you met. You had dropped by simply to introduce yourself as the new intelligence officer, and he had given every excuse since then to spend some time in your office chatting.

One morning, he dropped by with a cup of tea. He had done it plenty of times before, often early in the mornings when it was just the two of you in the office. Smiling with guilt, you accept the cup. It had been weeks of this little game, so when you told him finally that you didn’t like tea, he was a bit embarrassed. He just stood with his own cup of tea and chuckled bashfully.

“You could’ve told me, y’know”
