I stopped your sigh / With these hands,
Fuck, how was he ever going to explain this to your parents? Your unconscious body splayed out atop your bed, John's hands around your neck. He didn't mean for this to happen, it was just... in the heat of the moment? Yeah, that sounded like a good fit. After all, you had managed to get under his skin particularly well before the two of you headed back to your parents' estate.
Still, even if he now had an excuse forming in his head, that didn't mean that he himself wasn't suffering—wallowing in guilt at the fact his hands now had blood on them, all because he stopped your breath.
Surely, you weren't dead, right? Right? Maybe you're just playing pretend.. After all, he only wanted to show you how much he loved you after the two of you were roped into attending a particularly drab party, to celebrate someone's successful business.
You look as beautiful as the day I first met you, Price muses silently, wallowing in the delusion that you're still alive, still breathing, and that this is all a joke–a nightmare, even.
