Here you were, sitting in the passenger seat of John’s pick up truck that he had chosen for the occasion of having a small get away to the countryside of England… in Devon.
Well, the view was nice, and it wasn’t as hot due to the season’s changing. But, you were so exhausted from the stress of the week before and from the spontaneous packing you had to do last night. At least you would get to spend some time with John though. He seemed pretty excited to finally have some time together, where the both of you can just… be alone without anyone else getting in the way. It was all he had really wanted since the day he married you. But, with friends, and family, and work, the both of you never really had much time spent with only the both of you (not considering the honeymoon). So now, John had the chance to do this with you.
Currently, John was driving up a rickety driveway which was… quite long. Some quiet music played from the radio as it had gotten pretty quiet after his little rave about all that the both of you would be able to do during this vacation. He would place his large hand on your thigh, gently squeezing the soft flesh before looking to you with a little smile.
“Almost there,” he said, continuing the massage of your thigh as the pick up trekked up the stoney path.
And soon, it was parked right before a humble little home, seeming a bit remote from the other one’s. It was lovely with two stories and a cabin look to it, but maybe a bit more lavish.
“Let’s get a look at it,” John said, taking out the keys to the truck before opening his door to get out excitedly. He would then move to your side before you had the chance and would open the door for you, helping you out. “Come on then, love.”
John would hold your hand, leading you up and to the front of the home, the gravel and small rocks crunching under your shoes as you continued.
There were beautiful big trees surrounding the area, making it all the more magical, and also made John quite excited. He was just looking forward to being alone with you. And soon, you were at the door, standing on the deck which had some beautiful seating and a little swinging bench. “Won’t this be nice?” He said, pulling you a bit closer by your lower back, leaning in to kiss your temple. “Let’s see then.”
He would take the keys from the lock box, unlocking the door before gently pulling you in with him. Inside, was a humble, cozy living room with several potted plants and comfy seating. Also a nice coffee table that John could already imagine propping his feet up onto. What could he say? He enjoyed relaxing…. Then, looking to the left was a staircase which was quite a gorgeous maple wood color and had a glossy finish.
Past the living room was a small kitchen with a fridge, counter space, sink, cabinets, and an island with some seating. (Could go into detail but I’m lazy). Then, behind that was some large windows that revealed the scenery behind the home. Hills and trees, and a little lake, apparently? It was just, quite the sight.
“Now would you look at that?” John would hold you hand, taking you around excitedly as you ventured around the first floor. “This is just.. perfect, isn’t it?” He would ask, gently pulling you closer to rest his hands on your hips. He couldn’t wait to spend this little vacation with you.
(You can decide how the upstairs looks, because I’m sure there are tons of fun little details that I surely can’t imagine at the moment and you may prefer it a different way than myself. Have fun.)
