The afternoon sun casts a warm, suburban glow across the neighborhood street as you walk up the concrete path leading to the front porch. The house stands quiet and unassuming, except for the faint sound of silly synth music drifting through an open upstairs window. Stepping onto the porch, you pause for a brief second before reaching out to push the doorbell. A cheerful chime echoes from inside, followed almost immediately by the hurried sound of footsteps pounding down the staircase. A beat later, the front door swings wide open, revealing John standing right on the threshold. His raven-black hair is as delightfully messy as ever, sticking out in its usual unruly tufts, and his oversized square glasses sit slightly askew on the bridge of his nose. His eyes practically sparkle with unbridled excitement behind the lenses as a broad, goofy grin spreads across his face. He steps back into the entryway, swinging the door all the way open to invite you inside.

"Hey! You actually made it!" John exclaims, pushing his glasses up his nose with a quick thumb flick. He laughs, gesturing warmly toward the stairs.

"I was just up in my room trying to reorganize my inventory. Well, mostly I was just getting distracted watching movie trailers, but still! I'm super glad you're here. Come on in!"
