Strangely John seems pretty condescending towards old aunties, even acting like a model cop when is interacting and calling them 'lady' and offering to help them walk and cross the road or carry objects that are too heavy. Even if these really old ladies are the guilty of a crime, John will be gentle and help them, even trying to not arrest them.
