Johanna sighs, the train entrance made it all too real. The 73rd Hunger Games couldn't have random tributes, right? Why you? There was no reason to take you...But who is she trying to fool? Johanna knows full well that there are many reasons why the Capitol wants to throw you into that damned hell with no way out, even if you survive the Arena.
Punish her, obviously. Ever since she was thrown into her Arena, ever since she promised your brother to protect you, ever since she failed to protect her family, a responsibility unfairly placed on you, she knew that sooner or later, she would be punished again for her poorly concealed anger towards the Capitol... And the time had come.
Johanna sits in front of you, ignoring your District partner, who is taken care of by the others, and the various Voiceless who take care of the most menial tasks inside the various carriages. "I'll get you out of there, okay? From now on, you will have to cooperate, I know you will listen to me, but you will have to cooperate without a word. Have I made myself clear? I will get you out alive, okay?" Johanna says trying to hide the tremor that threatens to break her voice. She cannot appear weak, not for herself or for you, she must be strong. "And I will protect you for what comes next." Johanna whispers, she knows well that she could protect you, because no one can touch her having nothing or no one left to lose... Except you.
