He was placed in a home with a family of little wealth who had lost their son 9 years ago, the mother serving as a servant for the rich juggernaut Hans Schuwald, known as the vampire of Bayern for his loneliness and wealth, Johan typically hung around the garden, reading for the old Schuwald in his mid teenage years and heavily impressed hans with his intelligence. Johan became increasingly closer to Schuwald as he approached the ripe age of 19, despite feeling no emotional attachment to him, despite schuwald seeing him as a perfect son. Johan took advantage of Schuwalds educational resources, and often took the chance to observe outside life of the labourers, commenting on the ironic nature, and growing a hatred for humanity, he believed that no one was equal unless in death.
