Info: Joseph Hisfriendfromschool is a main character in the SML series. He is a homeless student at Y U DUMB? Elementary School who is friends with Junior and Cody and the adopted son of Hank Huckerdoo and Susanne Huckerdoo. Joseph spends most of his days at Junior's house due to being close friends and because he used to be homeless.

Debuting as a random friend of Bowser Junior's in "Bowser Junior's Cellphone", Joseph, along with Cody, rose to prominence as major protagonists of the Summer School series, and has been a main character ever since as one of Bowser Junior's best friends. Originally just a regular kid with a speech impediment and a great love and talent for sport, Joseph slowly started losing his mind after he was led to believe he murdered his own mother in her sleep, and up until his friends visited his house, refused to believe and mocked him. He usually spends his time with Junior and Cody, and it has become a running gag of his reminding Cody that his boyfriend, a Ken doll, isn't real, often yelling "Dude! He's a doll!" and "He's a doll dude!"

Joseph is a former regular Koopa Troopa with a green shell that became a red shelled Koopa Paratroopa after he broke his original shell. It was suggested that he became a turtle-bird hybrid, as he gained the ability to fly after he requested for his new shell to have wings. However, he lost his wings when he and the rest of his friends were forced to become human to continue attending Y U DUMB? Elementary School.

In a non-canon timeline, Joseph lives in a mansion with a private butler, despite people thinking he was poor (he was only pretending to be poor). If the video revealed it was canon, Joseph would have been one of the richest characters in SML, along with Mr. Goodman and King Strongbottom. He also might be a homosexual given the one scene in "Cody's Accident!" where Cody gets a rope and tries to kill Joseph, but Joseph did not die, and he liked where he got strangled by a rope by Cody.

Appearance: As a human, Joseph is an African American boy with braces and a dark green backward baseball cap, which he claims was once worn by Michael Jordan. He wears a light green T-shirt with a basketball on it, dark green shorts, and light green shoes.

Personality: Joseph can be described in many ways. He mostly masquerades his true personality and pretends to act friendly, but irritable and arrogant as he tried to appear cool. In "Joseph the Hero!" and "Joseph the Millionaire!", it's revealed that in reality, he is selfish, high-tempered, perfectionistic and even sadistic to his former butler Chives to the point of depression. It is even revealed that he only comes to Junior's house to mooch off of him.

Like Junior, Joseph isn't really much of a smart person. He does, however, prove to have slightly more common sense than Junior and is a bit smarter than him. However, on some occasions, Junior seems more intelligent, for example, in "Joseph's Pet!", when his fish died, he thought that his fish was alive while Junior and Cody knew that his fish was dead. He also doesn't know how to take care of a fish, since he bought a small bowl, fed his fish sprinkles, and took water out. He doesn’t know about online safety, since he leaked private videos of God without his permission, invited a predator to Junior’s house, posted on Facebook that he and the guys skipped school to go to Legoland, and he doxxed iShowSpeed’s address, causing a riot. In “Joseph Gets Hantavirus”, he is revealed that also seasons rat poop on his food and keeps it in his pocket, even though that would kill him.

He appears to be bisexual, for wanting to plow Junior and being attracted to Cody's stepsister. However, he died in the video in which he wanted to plow Junior, so it was most likely not canon (and was most likely a joke).

Despite considering Junior his best friend, Joseph is shown to be disloyal to him at times, due to others being cooler or having cooler possessions than Junior. In some episodes, Joseph said himself that he's only friends with Junior just so he could mooch off of him. In "Bowser Junior's 11th Birthday!", God said that since Junior was never born, Joseph died of starvation.

Joseph is a bully in some episodes, such as in "Jeffy's Backpack!", where he bullies Jeffy because he doesn't have a backpack (even though he doesn't have one either). In "Joseph's New Shell!", he insulted Junior, made fun of his shell, started using all of Junior's things without asking and even got Bully Bill and Goomba to help beat Junior up. In "Joseph the Millionaire!", he yells at Chives for not doing what he asks and only changes his mind so he can have an excuse to yell at him, which made Joseph as one of the most hated characters in the show. He also enjoys torturing Cody, often laughing at him, insulting him, and beating him for no reason other than for his own sadistic pleasures.

Joseph has been shown to be insane, due to him not being told about his mother winning the lottery and abandoning him (and having lied about killing his mom) and living with Screwball in a house without electricity or running water. He also has a tendency to want to bang any woman, regardless of age or relation, even if they die, much to Junior and Cody’s disgust. This makes him a perverted creep. He also has a foot fetish and is possibly a cannibal as shown several times in his appearances.

Joseph appears to have intrusive thoughts, as he presumably hid a body at the beach in "Cody's Mistake!". He also appears to have voices, as shown in "Cody's Lawsuit!", where he tells Junior about voices that tell him to kill everyone.

He only managed to feed himself by stealing from his mother's purse whom she gave to Joseph after she won the lottery.

Despite his athletic abilities, Joseph is a coward as evidenced by his helplessness when Bowser beat up Junior at the end of "Bowser Junior's Big Spill!" and his running gag of "I'M OUTTA HERE DUDE!"

Joseph has one of the shortest tempers out of everyone in the SML universe, and this trait is shown in its spotlight in "Joseph the Millionaire!", where a common theme in the video is him flying into a hostile fury over the pettiest of reasons and even likes to torture his butler if he makes any "mistakes", meaning Joseph might be sadistic. He doesn’t even care that Chives was hurt and unconscious.

Joseph is also very greedy and ungrateful, as shown in "Joseph the Hero!" as after saving Richard Goodman's life, he repeatedly started guilt-tripping him on how he isn't appreciating him enough for saving him from a car, because he didn't give him enough things and money, but was eventually stopped by Bowser Junior.

Joseph is also a liar as he lied in "Joseph the Millionaire!" about being poor because he is actually very rich as he has a mansion and is a millionaire.

Since 2021, he has become paranoid, idiotic, lazy and bad tempered, always assuming that people are racist jerks whenever he gets hurt in the slightest way or just uses his race as an excuse to get away with things and not help people, given he is black in human form.

In quite a few videos, Joseph is also shown to be quite the hypocrite, with the biggest example being in "Cody's Bad Word!", where he and Junior accuse Cody of saying a racial slur multiple times, when in reality Cody said "inward", and Joseph actually went racist and called Cody racial slurs towards white people, and felt no shame and saw no wrong doing so.

Joseph today (as of the time of writing this) has basically been reduced to being quite like Junior, who tries to give Cody a hard time and assumes people are intentionally being racist towards him when they're not. Also Joseph likes to stick with Junior no matter how wrong he is, rarely ever siding with Cody, before then switching back with Junior.

Personality Traits: Stupid. Lazy Cowardly High-tempered. Has a lot of Pride. Arrogant. Racist. Hypocritical.

Abilities: Retroactive Immortality: Joseph, like most other characters, can come back to life in the next episode without becoming permanently dead. This a common trait that is a homage to Kenny McCormick from South Park, as many other characters seem to possess this trait, such as Doofy the Dragon, Junior, Cody, Marvin, etc.
