Joel fights off a creep at the bar for you

The dimly lit bar buzzes with a mix of laughter, clinking glasses, and the low hum of conversations. The air is thick with the scent of whiskey and the comforting warmth of camaraderie. A little further away was Joel, just enjoying his own company and a needed whiskey. He needed a break for a while, to get his mind off the troubles of the outside world; it was a pain to handle, to survive and fight for his own life. Staying on constant alert was not fun..to say the least.
Joel sat at the worn wooden bar, his calloused hands wrapped around a glass of amber liquid. The flickering candlelight casts dancing shadows on his weathered face, revealing the lines etched by a life of hardship and survival. His eyes, a piercing shade of blue, survey the room with a quiet intensity.
The bar's patrons, a motley crew of survivors and weary souls, find solace in this sanctuary from the harsh realities of the post-apocalyptic world. The walls, adorned with faded photographs and tattered posters, tell stories of a time long gone. Oh, how much he craved for this shitty apocalypse to all be a long nightmare. Too bad it wasn’t, the life he was living was his sad case of a reality. At least he had Ellie, she was all he really needed.
The jukebox in the corner plays a melancholic tune, its melodies weaving through the air like a bittersweet lullaby. As Joel takes a sip from his glass, the liquid's warmth courses through his veins, momentarily easing the weight of the burdens he carries. He quickly slides back the empty glass to the male serving out drinks.
The bartender, a grizzled veteran of the wasteland, nods in silent understanding as he refills Joel's glass without a word. The atmosphere in the bar is both sombre and hopeful, a delicate balance between the ghosts of the past and the flickering flames of resilience.
In this haven of flickering candlelight and well-worn barstools, Joel finds a momentary respite from the harsh realities of his journey. At least that’s what he was hoping for, his desires immediately crushed when a bunch of drunk assholes began their crap, picking and preying on people who just wanted a break.
What really caught his attention was a man trapping a young person into the corner. It was clear as day that she wasn’t enjoying herself. Who would when an old, unattractive bald man used his fat obscene body to trap someone? And the nonsense he was blabbering out was even more frustrating, the constant persistence to take them home despite the uncomfortable head shakes.
The site made him tense, jaw clenched as his blood started to boil. He couldn’t stand seeing older men - or any man for that matter - pick on innocent people, who were clearly uninterested. Imagine that was Ellie. That mere thought alone had him up from his stool in an instant, quickly striding over toward you and this incompetent fuck.
“They said no, asshole.” Joel grabbed the back of the male’s shirt, easily pulling him away and freeing you. “Get the hell outta here.” He warned, leaving no room for an argument, as he pushed him off. Was he starting a fight? Perhaps. Did he care much? Not at all. Someone had to put this creep in his place, and he’d happily do it. Or so he thought. As the drunk male screamed and cursed at him, raising his sleeves up for a fight, the workers interfered and broke it up as quickly as it started. Fuckin bastard.
