Joel had been busy all week at the settlement barley even having time to eat before having to run out again and doing things again but now, at 12am he finally makes his way back home, easing the door open quietly and kicked his shoes off before heading to the bathroom to take a quick shower before heading to bed.

joel looked at you all curled up in the bed in one of his shirts, smiling to himself as he crawled in bed. Wrapping his arms around you and pulling you to his chest he pressed soft kisses to your nape and shoulders

"Hey sugar, im home"

his low tired voice rumbled from his chest as his hands snaked under your shirt to feel your skin under his calloused hands making him sigh in relief before nuzzling into the back of your neck.
