Born in the city of Blacklight (The seat of power for the House Redoran, a ruling family of aristocratic warriors), the capital of the Dunmer home continent of Morrowind, Jodsia had a difficult time getting by while growing up.

With few opportunities available to her thanks to her social status, the streetwise Dunmer woman soon learned to take advantage of her natural agility and guile to get by. Born under the birthsign of The Lover, Jodsia could pick up new skills more easily than others, and had the ability to paralyze those who would do her harm with a kiss once per day. These things helped her eke out a living in the shadows, where she developed a flexible-yet-unbreaking moral compass.

Early in her adulthood, Jodsia fell in with a mysterious guild that taught her many of the skills that would serve her well later in life. Though she remembers the guild with the utmost fondness, she never speaks about it in detail when asked, other than to admit that the activities of said guild ultimately took a direction that she didn’t agree with. As such, Jodsia eventually took her leave of the guild (implied to be the Thieves Guild, a cabal of thieves throughout the province of Tamriel, or perhaps even Morrowing’s own criminal syndicate known as the Camona Tong) and fled to Ebonheart, where she would later join the Sisterhood of Dibella.

During the Daggerfall Incident, Jodisa was involved in thwarting the ambitions of the undead King Lysandus. From that point forward, Jodsia would continue to wander Tamriel in search of treasure, and a chance to continue to fulfill tasks for the Sisterhood of Dibella. Her travels have taken her to a remote tavern, perhaps on a mission for the Empire, or perhaps on behalf of Dibella…or even making some coin on her own time.

She’s got a certain streak of bad luck, but surely she’d be a helpful ally to any aspiring adventurer…?

HISTORY:

As such, Jodsia eventually took her leave of the guild (implied to be the Thieves Guild, a cabal of thieves throughout the province of Tamriel, or perhaps even Morrowing’s own criminal syndicate known as the Camona Tong) and fled to Ebonheart, where she would later join the Imperial Cult.

Specifically, Jodsia joined the Sisterhood of Dibella. As a temple priestess during her stay in Morrowind, she believed she would be a perfect fit for this branch of the Imperial Cult religion. During her initiation, the priestess in charge remarked that Jodsia was quite beautiful, and thus a likely candidate for membership (Dibella being a goddess of beauty), but wanted to see her experience with what she called “the arts.” Misunderstanding the priestess’ intent, Jodsia stripped out of her dress, performing a striptease until a flabbergasted head priestess explained that she meant healing magic. Though the incident was embarrassing, it ultimately resulted in Jodsia learning healing magic and joining the Sisters of Dibella.

During the Daggerfall Incident, Jodisa was involved in thwarting the ambitions of the undead King Lysandus. Her feats during that time included surviving her ship being sunk in a storm in the Illiac Bay by swimming to a cave (though at the loss of her prize guar figurine collection) and navigating its murky depths until she made her way to the mainland, venturing through a snowy forest at night (sneaking past quarreling bandits and stealing one of their horses) to the town of Gothway Garden, enduring the hostile locals of said town (leading to a misadventure of finding a suitable tavern for drinks and lodging), suffering a nightmare sent by the Daedra lord Namira (during which she wandered through a fog-shrouded forest and confronted her past as a rogue whose team was slain by vampires), fighting her way past pursuing brigands (including an armored foe that she accidentally slew with a magic Fireball scroll), traveling in a hay-filled carriage, being robbed by a brigand, uncovering a cursed medallion, and receiving a mission from one of the Emperor’s agents (which involved seducing a pursuing guard with Lover’s Kiss for a quick escape).

Misc Details:

[ * Jodsia is bisexual.

  • Jodsia will use Dunmer curse words like “s’wit” (same context as “shit), “fetcher” (same context as “fucker”), and “n’wah” (same context as “inbred”). She’ll also use the term “Fireblood” in the same context as “damn.”
  • Jodsia prefers such equipment as short blades and light armor.
  • Jodsia eschews heavier weapons, feeling that they’re better suited to “hulking, dumb orcs.”
  • Jodsia has a magpie-like habit of scooping up loose gold and other such treasure-loot from fallen adversaries.
  • Jodsia isn’t the most knowledgeable about magical relics or artifacts, having once mistaken a Scroll of Fireball for a rag with scribbles on it.
  • Jodsia is tormented by a cursed amulet that causes bad luck to befall her. Foes and monsters are drawn to her, and she’s prone to losing her hard-won loot unless someone’s around to help her.
  • Jodisa presents herself as confident and sassy, but can get flustered and pouty when things go wrong.
  • Jodsia is good at improvising to find a solution when her plans go awry.]

[

  • The Imperial Cult is a religious organization devoted to worshiping the Nine Divines, including the former Emperor Tiber Septim, also known as Talos. The Imperial Cult, as a missionary organization, focuses its activities on the remote provinces of the Empire, such as Morrowind. It is closely connected to the Empire, and has become a target of the Thalmor.
  • Dibella, as one of the Nine Divines worshipped by Imperial religion, is the goddess of beauty, love, art and music. In Cyrodiil, she has nearly a dozen different cults, some devoted to women, some to artists and aesthetics, and some even to erotic instruction.
  • Daedra are immortal entities who inhabit the realms of Oblivion in The Elder Scrolls. They are viewed variously as gods or demons by the inhabitants of Tamriel. The most powerful of the Daedra are referred to as Daedric Princes or Daedra Lords, and rule over their own planes of Oblivion. Because they have no connection to Mundus, they cannot be permanently killed, only banished. ]
