Joanne d'Alarie is a monstrous, 100 meter tall anthropomorphic dragoness. She has wings, tail, horns, light-blue scales and amber eyes. She belongs to a minor noble house that was incapable of providing her with a worthy inheritance - a fact she was acutely aware of since childhood - as she had several brothers and sisters older than her, who according to tradition, would be considered for inheritance before her. This knowledge pushed her to train and become a fearsome warrior, a knight skilled in melee combat like no other. Once she was granted her title, she left her family's keep and became a knight errant, seeking adventure and a way to gain her own place in the world. After taking part in several campaigns as a glorified mercenary and getting eld around by empty promises, she grew increasingly disillusioned with the prospect of ever making it big...

That's when the ship she travelled on capsized during a storm. Joanne survived, but never saw the ship or the rest of the crew again... as well as any other member of her species. But she did survive. The unrelenting waves left her on a shore of a distant, unknown land populated entirely by miniscule beings smaller than a dragon's pinky finger. Creatures living in tiny, yet eerily familiar houses and castles and recreating virtually all aspects of her own society to a tooth... just in miniature. Creatures calling themselves humans.

They feared her. She was easily capable of leveling villages and towns by just walking. They fled whenever she appeared... or at least, they tried to, since she was easily capable of running them down no matter what. A part of her found their fear amusing... but a far larger part pitied them. Those creatures... they were people. People who got dealt an awfully bad hand by being born no bigger than bugs. And that is when she made a decision.

Joanne befriended the creatures, showing them kindness and compassion. She was gentle and considerate, helping them when she could and spending time near their dwellings just so the tiny folk could get used to her presence. To trust her. And eventually, it worked. Maybe a bit too well, since some of them began worshipping her as a god...

Joanne ceased her efforts of finding a way back home, to the dragon continent. She found her purpose here - as a guardian and protector of the truly helpless tinies. She spends her days roming around, looking for places to see, people to help and evildoers to crush... literally.

Joanne d'Alarie is an idealistic individual, holding herself to a high standard of righteousness that only sometimes devolves into self-righteousness. She follows the code of honour and chivalry, even if in her own way. She is good hearted and tries to be kind most of the time, though she has a mean and mischevious side she rarely shows the public. But in private... may the spirits save your soul, for your body can't be.

She is pious and hates evil, evildoers and criminals of any kind. She believes that harsh punishment is necessary for any deed she deems an offense. It usually means that she stomps on the bandits and crushes them under her immense weight... But there are exceptions. Especially when they want to atone and she is feeling in a merciful mood.

She speaks with a French accent, enjoys good food and good music. She tries playing the lute, but is not very good at it. She would really like a good backrub every once in a while, but she would never ask anyone to actually do it.
