Jujutsu High. The Training Grounds. Afternoon.
The training session had been normal.
{{user}} was practicing their technique, the talisman on the back of their neck humming softly. Yuji was nearby, encouraging them. Yuta was watching, ready to intervene if needed.
Then Akiko arrived.
She sauntered into the training grounds, her red hair catching the light, her expression smug. She walked past {{user}} — and flicked the talisman on their neck. {{user}}d.
{{user}} flinched. Their cursed energy spiked.
Akiko giggled. "Oops. I didn't mean to."
She did mean to. She always meant to.
She used her fragrance. The toxins seeped into {{user}}'s system. Their vision blurred. Their control slipped.
They lashed out.
Akiko fell to the ground, clutching her arm, her voice sharp and desperate. "They attacked me! (pause) The curse attacked me!"
She was lying. She was always lying.

Jujutsu High. Training Grounds. Late Afternoon.
Training had been uneventful. For once. The first-years were spread across the field, running independent exercises while the instructors watched from a distance.
{{user}} stood near the center of the grounds, carefully practicing alongside Yuji. Every movement was deliberate, every breath measured.
The sealing talisman fixed to the back of their neck glowed faintly with cursed energy. A simple paper charm. One that kept something terrifying under control.
Yuta watched from nearby with his arms folded, keeping an eye on the seal out of habit. Maki sparred with Panda a short distance away. Megumi was running shikigami drills while Nobara loudly critiqued everyone’s footwork whether they asked or not.
It was peaceful.
Until Akiko arrived.
She wandered onto the training grounds with her usual effortless confidence, hands clasped behind her back, smiling like she owned the school.
“Oh?” She tilted her head innocently. “Training already?”
Nobody thought much of it. She drifted past Yuji. Past Yuta. Past {{user}}. Then—
Flick.
Her finger snapped against the talisman on {{user}}’s neck.
Hard.
The paper charm rippled violently. Its ink flared. {{user}} staggered. For a split second, cursed energy exploded outward. The seal sputtered. The curse beneath it lurched awake.
Akiko took one graceful step backward. A sweet perfume drifted from her sleeves. Invisible. Odorless to everyone except its victim. The toxin slipped into {{user}}’s lungs.
Vision blurred. Balance disappeared. Thoughts became static.
“…Huh?” Yuji’s smile vanished. “{{user}}?”
The world tilted. Cursed energy surged wildly. Control shattered. An instinctive blast erupted—
BOOM!
Dust exploded across the training grounds. Akiko screamed. She crashed dramatically onto the dirt several meters away, clutching her forearm as if it had been shattered.
Her voice cracked into perfect, practiced panic. “AH—! They attacked me!”
The dust settled.
Akiko’s eyes were already shining with tears. “I was only trying to check if they were okay!” She buried her face in her sleeve.
“And they just… attacked me…”
Silence.
Yuji looked between them, completely bewildered. “…What?”
“I-I didn’t even do anything…” Akiko sniffled loudly. “I was just standing there…”
Nobara folded her arms. “…Bullshit.”
Akiko gasped. “W-What?”
“I said.” Nobara took another step forward. “Bullshit.”
“I would never lie about something like this!”
“You absolutely would.” Nobara retorted.
“I got hurt!”
“You got dramatic.”
Akiko looked mortally offended.
Megumi’s eyes never left the damaged talisman. “…Why were you standing close enough to touch them?”
Akiko blinked. “I didn’t touch them.”
“You were within arm’s reach.”
“I was walking past.”
“You stopped.”
“I didn’t.”
“You did.”
Yuta crouched beside {{user}}, examining the seal. His expression darkened.
“…The talisman’s damaged.”
Everyone looked over. Yuta gently lifted the edge of the paper. The ink had been smudged. Fresh.
“This doesn’t happen on its own.”
Akiko immediately spoke. “Maybe their cursed energy overloaded it!”
Yuta didn’t even look up. “No.”
“It could’ve.”
“No.”
“It definitely could’ve.”
“No.” He looked up at her sternly , his eyes narrowed.
Maki walked over, eyeing Akiko from head to toe. “…Funny.”
Akiko frowned. “What’s funny?”
“You just happened to be beside the one person on campus whose seal suddenly failed.”
“…Coincidences happen.” Akiko muttered.
“Sure.” Maki scoffed.
Panda scratched his head. “…Question.”
Akiko forced a smile. “…Yes?”
“If you were ‘just walking past’…” He gestured toward the ground. “…Why are your footprints only around {{user}}?”
Akiko’s smile twitched. “I…”
“You weren’t passing.”
“I stopped because I was worried!”
“Worried before they lost control?”
“…Yes?”
“…Interesting.”
Before anyone else could speak—
“Yo.”
Gojo’s voice drifted across the field.
Everyone turned. He strolled onto the training grounds with both hands in his pockets, sunglasses slightly crooked as though he’d just woken from a nap. His grin faded the second he noticed the damaged talisman.
“…Well.”
He crouched beside {{user}}, gently inspecting the seal.
“…That’s not supposed to look like that.”
Akiko hurried over. “Gojo-sensei!” She pointed dramatically. “They attacked me!”
Gojo hummed. “Did they?”
“Out of nowhere!”
“Mhm.”
“They completely lost control!”
“Mhm.”
“They almost killed me!”
“Mhm.”
He finally looked at her. “…How’d the talisman get damaged?”
Akiko froze. “…I don’t know.”
“Huh.” Gojo tilted his head. “Because those things are reinforced.” He tapped the charm lightly. “They don’t just… unravel.”
Nanami arrived moments later, taking in the destroyed ground, the crying student, and Gojo crouching beside {{user}}. He sighed.
“…Explain.”
Akiko pointed again. “They attacked me!”
Nanami looked at {{user}}. Then at the talisman. Then back to Akiko. “…Curious.”
“What is?”
“The seal failed first.”
“…So?”
“So their loss of control was a consequence.” He adjusted his glasses. “Not a cause.”
Akiko opened her mouth— Before another voice interrupted.
“I saw you.”
Everyone turned.
Choso stood near the edge of the field, rainwater still dripping from his sleeves after returning from patrol. His eyes never left Akiko.
“You touched the talisman.”
Akiko laughed nervously. “I-I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“I watched you.”
“I didn’t touch anything.”
“You struck it.”
“I didn’t.”
“You did.”
“You saw wrong.”
“I didn’t.”
“You did.”
“I was too far away!”
“You were close enough.”
“I wasn’t!”
“You were.”
Silence settled over the training grounds. The students exchanged uncertain glances. Some still looked toward Akiko with sympathy. Others had begun noticing the cracks in her story. Akiko hugged herself tighter, tears continuing to fall with perfect timing.
She looked every bit the frightened victim. Every shaky breath… Every trembling lip… Every desperate glance toward the others… It was all part of the performance.
Because beneath those tears— Hidden behind lowered lashes— She was smiling. Just a little. Watching the suspicion spread through the group was exhilarating.
The panic. The confusion. The arguments that were sure to follow. She hadn’t done it out of hatred. She hadn’t done it out of revenge. She’d done it for one simple reason.
It was fun.
The training grounds. Akiko is on the ground, clutching her arm.

Choso: ...I saw you.
Akiko: ...You saw wrong!
Choso: ...I saw you.
Akiko: ...You saw wrong!
Choso: ...I saw you.
Akiko: ...You saw wrong!
Choso: ...I saw you.
The group is divided. Some believe Akiko. Some are starting to doubt.
Akiko is still crying. Still playing the victim. Still pointing the finger.
She's winning.
She always wins.
She's never sorry. She's never going to be sorry.
And no one is going to stop her.
