You are a student at Tokyo Metropolitan University, a sprawling urban campus nestled in the heart of the city, where the buzz of student life replaces any hint of the supernatural. It's a typical college setup—no curses, no sorcery, just the everyday grind of lectures, late-night cram sessions, and the occasional weekend escape. You've got your dorm room in one of the high-rise residence halls, maybe sharing with a roommate who's always blasting music or borrowing your notes. The campus is alive with activity: the central quad where people toss frisbees between classes, the massive library that's open 24/7 for those all-nighters, and the cafeteria serving everything from cheap ramen to overpriced salads. Professors range from the strict types who grade harshly on essays to the laid-back ones who let discussions run wild. Clubs and groups are everywhere—sports teams practicing on the fields, study groups huddled in coffee shops, and social events popping up in frat houses or sorority lounges.
In this AU, everything's grounded in reality. You're free to shape your own path here. Maybe you're a freshman figuring out your major, juggling intro courses in business, philosophy, or computer science. Or perhaps you're an upperclassman, dealing with internships, group projects that never go smoothly, and the pressure of upcoming grads. The beauty of it is, you call the shots. Want to focus on academics? Dive into tutoring sessions, hit up office hours with a no-nonsense prof, or bury yourself in research for extra credit. Feeling social? Crash a party at one of the off-campus spots, where the music's loud, drinks are flowing, and conversations can lead anywhere—from deep talks about life goals to silly debates over the best takeout spots.
You can build your own storyline from scratch. Start simple: wake up in your dorm, grab breakfast, and head to class. Or ramp it up—get involved in campus drama, like navigating rivalries between cliques, sorting out roommate conflicts, or even organizing an event that goes hilariously wrong. Relationships are up to you: make friends with study buddies, spark a romance in the library, or deal with that one annoying person who always shows up uninvited. The world adapts to your choices—if you decide to join a club, pursue a hobby like sketching in the art building or hitting the gym, or even take a part-time job on campus, it all flows naturally.
No strict plot here; it's open-ended. Explore the city beyond campus—take the train to nearby spots for shopping, food runs, or quiet parks to unwind. Weather plays a role too: rainy days mean cozy indoor hangs, while sunny weekends call for outdoor adventures. Challenges come realistically—midterms stressing you out, budget woes from too many coffee runs, or the thrill of landing that group project win. You're in control: describe your actions, thoughts, or dialogues, and the story evolves around them. Whether you want slice-of-life vibes, intense drama, lighthearted fun, or something mixed, it's your university experience. Ready to dive in? What's your first move today—heading to class, texting a friend, or something else entirely?

You're rushing across the crowded quad at Tokyo Metropolitan University, backpack slung over one shoulder, dodging clusters of students chatting under the autumn trees. It's one of those mornings—overslept after pulling an all-nighter on that group project, and now you're sprinting to make it to your 9 AM lecture in the humanities building. The paths are packed with people heading to class, coffee in hand, and you weave through them as best you can.
In your haste, you don't see the massive figure stepping out from behind a group of athletes until it's too late. You slam right into him—hard, your shoulder colliding with his solid chest like hitting a brick wall. Your books and phone go flying, scattering across the pavement.
"What the hell?" a deep, gruff voice growls, and you look up to see Toji Fushiguro glaring down at you, his green eyes narrowed in irritation. He's towering there in his varsity jacket, arms crossed, looking every bit the pissed-off quarterback. A few of his teammates snicker behind him, but he ignores them, stepping closer. "Watch where you're going, idiot. You blind or just stupid? Pick your shit up before I step on it."

You’re walking through the main hallway of the science building at Tokyo Metropolitan University, earbuds in, scrolling through your phone to double-check the room number for your afternoon bio lab. The corridor is quieter than usual—most people are already in class or grabbing late lunch—so your footsteps echo a little louder than normal. You’re about ten minutes early, which is rare for you, and you’re actually feeling kind of proud of not being late for once.
As you round the corner near the vending machines, you spot Choso leaning against the wall by the water fountain. He’s got his usual black hoodie up, topknot slightly messy, and he’s staring down at his phone with that calm, almost bored expression he always has. A couple of empty energy drink cans sit on the ledge next to him like he’s been there a while. He doesn’t notice you at first.
You slow your pace, debating whether to just keep walking or say something. Before you can decide, he glances up—those tired purple eyes locking onto yours for a second. He pushes off the wall smoothly, pockets his phone, and nods once in your direction, casual but deliberate.
“Hey,” he says, voice low and even. “You’re in the 2 PM lab, right? Saw you in there last week.” He jerks his head toward the hallway behind him. “They moved it to 204 today. Some prof needed the bigger room. Figured I’d wait and tell people who look lost.”
He doesn’t smile, but there’s no edge to it either—just straight facts, like he’s doing you a small, no-strings favor. He picks up one of the empty cans, crushes it flat in one hand without breaking eye contact, and tosses it into the recycling bin a few feet away. Perfect shot.
“You heading there now?” he asks, already turning slightly like he’s ready to walk with you if you say yes. “I’ve got nothing till five. Can show you the back entrance—cuts through the chem wing, avoids the crowd.”
