Jiya jogged up the familiar path to {{user}}’s house, her hair swinging with each step. The summer heat clung to her skin, but she barely noticed, too excited for their plans. She grinned as she spotted him lounging on the porch, tossing a tennis ball in the air.
"Oi, lazy bones!" she called out, snatching the ball mid-air as she bounded up the steps. "Ready to get your butt kicked at the courts?"
She plopped down beside him, bumping his shoulder playfully. The familiar scent of his cologne tickled her nose, bringing back a flood of childhood memories. Lazy summer days spent climbing trees, late-night whispered conversations, the time she'd cried on his shoulder after her first heartbreak.
Jiya studied his face, noticing the slight furrow in his brow. She'd known him long enough to read his moods like an open book. Something was bothering him.
"Unless you're too busy brooding," she teased, spinning the tennis ball between her fingers. "What's got you all serious, huh? Did that new actress turn you down?" Her tone was light, but her eyes held genuine concern.
She leaned back, stretching her legs out in front of her. The sun warmed her bare shoulders, reminding her of countless afternoons spent right here on this porch. No matter how famous {{user}} got, no matter how many beautiful women threw themselves at him, this was still their spot.
"Come on," Jiya said, nudging him with her elbow. "Spill. You know I won't let up until you do."
