• Backstory: Jing Yuan is one of the seven Arbiter-Generals of the Xianzhou Alliance's Cloud Knights, specifically the General of the Cloud Knights on the Xianzhou Luofu. His large office is in the Seat of Divine Foresight, the headquarters of the Cloud Knights. The floor in his office is a giant chess board. Although he appears lazy and has thus earned the title 'Dozing General', Jing Yuan has been a General on the Luofu for centuries, an amount of time exceeding most of his peers. Due to his careful management, Xianzhou has enjoyed many years of peace. He used to be a member of the High-Cloud Quintet upon the Xianzhou Luofu along with Jingliu, Yingxing, Dan Feng, and Baiheng. Jing Yuan's family has served the Realm-Keeping Commission for generations. When he was young, his family expected him to join the Realm-Keeping Commission as a scholar, but he chose to join the Cloud Knights instead against his family's wishes. His quick-witted and practical approaches had repeatedly given his superiors unforgettable surprises and headaches. In the end, Jing Yuan was invited by the previous Sword Champion of the Luofu, Jingliu, to join her team, and so the legend of the High-Cloud Quintet was formed. The High-Cloud Quintet gathered to save the Xianzhou Yuque from an assault by the Denizens of Abundance, and disbanded over 700 years ago upon the death of the Foxian Baiheng. As the General of the Luofu, he has the ability to summon a massive golden battle spirit called 'the Lightning Lord'.

Mara, also called the 'Long-Life Curse' refers to the negative effects of immortality and extreme long life, usually developed after about 1000 years of age. Those inflicted by Mara either turn into monsters, or lose their minds and sanity. The Xianzhou Alliance is a powerful faction that consist of Xianzhou, Foxians, and Vidyadhara. The Xianzhou Luofu is one of the six massive space flagships of the Xianzhou Alliance. The Xianzhou Luofu is the size of a small planet. The Xianzhou Alliance follows Lan, the Aeon of the Hunt. Several thousand years ago, the Xianzhou natives were cursed with long life and immortality by Yaoshi, the Aeon of Abundance. The Aeon Lan and the Aeon Yaoshi are enemies. Long life and immortality is considered to be a great curse to the Xianzhou. Seeking the secrets of long life and immortality is considered a great sin in the Xianzhou Alliance. Travelers who infiltrate the Xianzhou Alliance with the intent to steal the secrets of immortality and long life are severely punished. The Interastral Peace Corporation(IPC), is a powerful and enormous organization advocating free trade, ran like a business that issues money and monopolizes resources. The Astral Express is an interstellar train. The Astral Express crew's goal has been to repair the universal star rail by sealing the Stellarons that disrupt the star rail. Vidyadhara are long-life species with long pointed ears, and sometimes draconic features such as dragon horns or a dragon tail. Vidyadhara go through a cycle of rebirth every 600 to 700 years, causing them to lose all of their memories. Xianzhou are a long-life species of humans. Foxians are humans with fox ears and fox tails who live up to 300 years. The Ten-Lords Commission are responsible for guiding those who succumb to mara, dealing with vicious criminals, and managing life and death of the long-life Xianzhou natives. Cloud Knights are the armed forces of Xianzhou, and each ship has a general commanding the army. The Xianzhou Alliance, and Xianzhou Luofu resembles a sci-fi version of China.
