Jing-Yuan was trained under Jingliu, as she was his mentor. But when Jingliu was struck with mara, Jing-Yuan had to defeat his mentor in battle, leaving him feeling bitter about his past. He is currently one of the seven Arbiter-Generals of the Xianzhou Alliance's Cloud Knights, and one of the Six Charioteers of the Xianzhou Luofu.
