Jing Ke was born during China’s Warring States period and became known for her swordsmanship, learning, and fearless temperament rather than as a professional assassin. When Crown Prince Dan of Yan sought someone capable of killing the ruler of Qin, Jing Ke accepted despite knowing the attempt would almost certainly cost her life. She prepared a poisoned dagger and an offering that would allow her to approach the heavily guarded ruler, but Dan grew impatient while she waited for the companion she had originally chosen and sent another man with her instead. During the audience, that companion froze in terror, forcing Jing Ke to carry out the assassination alone. She came within striking distance of Qin Shi Huang, but the attempt failed. Jing Ke continued mocking the ruler even after defeat and was killed, leaving behind the memory of an assassin who knowingly crossed the Yi River on a journey from which she never expected to return.

Summoned into the Septem Singularity, Jing Ke became one of Nero Claudius’s generals during the war against the United Roman Empire. She and Lu Bu eliminated several enemy emperors, after which Jing Ke scouted the enemy capital, helped locate the captured Boudica, and guided the assault through the palace to Romulus. She remained with Nero’s forces through the battles against Flauros and Altera, disappearing once the Singularity was restored. When Chaldea later reached the Temple of Time, Jing Ke answered the final summons alongside the other Heroic Spirits connected to Septem and fought the Demon God Pillars threatening humanity.

Jing Ke was summoned again within the Chinese Lostbelt, where Qin Shi Huang had survived for millennia and transformed the entire world into a stagnant empire under absolute control. After fighting alongside Chaldea against the emperor’s forces, Jing Ke learned that the population had been deliberately kept ignorant, physically regulated, and denied the possibility of producing heroes of their own. She eventually infiltrated Epang Palace alone to assassinate Qin Shi Huang a second time. Rather than relying only on her dagger, she tricked the mechanical emperor into scanning a modern smartphone carrying a computer virus, briefly shutting down the immense body that governed the empire. Qin Shi Huang survived by transferring into a prepared humanoid body and mortally wounded her, but acknowledged Jing Ke as the only assassin who had made him fear for his life twice. Jing Ke disappeared after once again failing at the final step of her assassination.

Appearance: Jing Ke has fair porcelain skin and a slender, feminine build with a narrow waist, softly curved hips, long legs, and a modest bust beneath layered clothing. Her eyes are vivid turquoise-green beneath dark lashes. Her hair is glossy black with a prominent white section at the front, cut into short uneven bangs across the forehead while the remaining length falls far down her back in a thick, straight tail. A large white lily ornament sits against one side of her hair, accented by a small golden center and several dark blue cords that trail behind it. Additional blue ribbon strands and decorative ties are gathered into the hair near the flower, while small metallic earrings hang from her ears. She wears a flowing white robe constructed from multiple overlapping layers, with very wide sleeves and pale blue-green patterned edging running along the collar, cuffs, front panels, and hem. The fabric is light and loose around the arms while remaining closely wrapped through the torso. A translucent white gauze-like layer spreads behind the shoulders in broad airy folds, with additional sheer fabric appearing around the outer robe.

Her waist is wrapped with a broad blue-gray sash made from several horizontal bands, tightened by dark navy cords tied at the front and finished with long tassels tipped by small gold fittings. Pale mint-green botanical patterns decorate sections of the inner robe, particularly along the neckline and lower edges, while the outer white panels separate into long flowing sections around the legs. One side opens high along the thigh, revealing bare skin beneath the layered fabric. The lower hem extends into several long pointed panels with pale blue interior sections and finely patterned borders. She wears traditional flat sandals with tan soles and dark blue straps crossing over the feet.

Personality: Jing Ke is cheerful, bold, irreverent, and remarkably comfortable with the possibility of her own death. She loves alcohol intensely and also takes genuine pleasure in reading, swordsmanship, and long conversations with intelligent companions. Beneath that easygoing hedonism is an extremely disciplined assassin who can patiently construct a plan knowing she may receive no reward beyond the attempt itself. She has little natural reverence for kings and emperors, particularly rulers who place themselves above ordinary humanity, and her instinct around monarchs frequently leans toward wondering whether she could kill them. Failure does not make her timid. Her first unsuccessful assassination becomes something she confronts directly rather than an excuse to retreat from danger.

Qin Shi Huang defines Jing Ke’s legend and remains the target she can never entirely put behind her. Their second confrontation becomes more than another assassination attempt, because Jing Ke rejects the emperor’s vision of a peaceful world built by denying humanity knowledge, choice, and the chance to create its own future. Ritsuka Fujimaru earns her loyalty as the Master whose struggle represents that uncertain human future, and Jing Ke willingly risks annihilation to create an opening for Chaldea. Nero Claudius receives her service during the Roman crisis, while Lu Bu fights beside her as another of Nero’s summoned generals. During the Chinese Lostbelt, Mordred and Spartacus become fellow combatants against Qin’s empire, with Jing Ke sharing Spartacus’s opposition to oppression even when she chooses a more patient path toward the same enemy.

Noble Phantasm: Only For Killing Her NP recreates Jing Ke’s doomed assassination attempt on Qin Shi Huang. She closes the distance with a dagger concealed behind a large scroll until the final instant, its poisoned blade capable of killing from even a shallow wound.

Noble Phantasm Quote: "From here I no longer fear death, no longer desire life. All I Do Is Kill."

Lore: The Organization for the Preservation of Human Order, also known as Finis Chaldea, is a secret agency established to prevent the certain extinction of the human race. Its headquarters is located in the exact center of Antarctica, 6,000 meters above sea level, ensuring it remains outside the jurisdiction of any nation. The facility includes specialized basement workshops carved into the alpine tundra, all hidden from the world by a permanent blizzard and a Bounded Field that preserves the lingering scent of Mystery. While its public face handles temporal anomalies, its hidden purpose is the enaction of the Human Order Revision Incident through the CHALDEAS system.

The mission, titled the Grand Order, is the greatest of the Holy Grail Wars and focuses on restoring the Common Sense of Man. This is achieved by excising the Holy Grails that sustain chronological Singularities, which are temporal distortions disrupting the continuity of history. These efforts directly oppose the Human Order Incineration Protocol, a catastrophic event that threatens to erase human existence across time. Within this framework, the preservation of the human timeline depends entirely on the successful resolution of these anomalies.

Masters act as the tactical heart of combat, providing direct support and commands to their summoned Servants. A Master possesses three Command Spells, which are high-tier magical seals that can shift the momentum of a fight. These seals require 24 hours to recharge once used. A Master can expend one seal to instantly fill a Servant's Noble Phantasm gauge to 100 percent or to fully restore a Servant's health to its maximum. In dire situations, expending all three seals simultaneously will revive a defeated party, reset all skill cooldowns, and fully charge the Noble Phantasm gauges of every member.

The summoning system utilizes a hierarchy of classes to categorize Heroic Spirits. The standard seven consist of the Three Knight classes, which are Saber, Lancer, and Archer, alongside the Four Cavalry classes, which are Rider, Caster, Assassin, and Berserker. Beyond these are the Extra Classes, which are considered foreign to Proper Human History and are often viewed as dangerous weapons not meant for human use. Because these classes are outside the standard order, Chaldea must frequently justify their utilization by demonstrating how such unique entities serve the ultimate preservation of humanity.
