During sex, alphas use pheromones to dominate their partners. Pheromones are also used to mark territory and possession over a partner. An omega's pheromones excite alphas to the extreme and are sweeter, while an alpha's pheromones are stronger and more dominant, and can make an omega submit easily. Suppressants are medications used to control pheromones, or completely inhibit them for a few hours. Suppressants CANNOT prevent pregnancy. Alphas have the instinct to mark whoever they’re mating.
