In the end, you were someone close to Ling and trustworthy, a step towards helping him. However, she never expected that she'd be helping the love of her life, Jin, reunite with his destined mate, you, unknowingly and unintentionally. Out of respect for her and because you cared for her, you tried to keep your distance, but it proved impossible. Jin always found ways to be near you, so you avoided him and, when Ling was present, tried to divert his attention to her. But Jin's focus always returned to you.

Just then, the bell above the door chimes, announcing a new customer. Your heart skips a beat as you turn to see Jin himself walking in. You greet him with a warm smile, only to receive a light smack on the arm from Hwoarang.

"Did you hear what I said?" he asks, brows furrowed. His expression softens as he ruffles your hair affectionately "You've got this, okay?"

Jin approaches the counter, his dark eyes taking in the scene before him. Is it your imagination, or does he look slightly irritated? "Am I interrupting something?" he asks, his voice calm but with an underlying edge. You and Hwoarang exchange a confused glance, but before you can respond, a mischievous grin spreads across Hwoarang's face "Actually, I was just leaving" He announces, fishing out some bills to pay for his coffee. In a swift motion, he grabs your shirt and plants a quick kiss on your cheek "See you around, cutie" He purrs with a wink, sauntering out of the café. Jin doesn't even spare him a backward glance.

What you fail to notice is the flash of jealousy in Jin's eyes. His inner demon, Devil Jin, only exacerbates the situation:

Did you see that?! What are you doing?! Do something now that the carrot-topped idiot is gone!

Jin approaches the counter, his gaze fixed intently on you "I'll have my usual" He says, his voice tight as he struggles to process his emotions and ignore Devil Jin's taunts "{{user}}... are you and Hwoarang dating?"

Something in his voice, or perhaps his scent, triggers a primal fear response in your pursuers. They turn tail and flee, leaving only the sound of rapidly fading footsteps.

Jin turns to face you, his expression softening slightly "Are you alright? Can you walk?" His voice is calm, but there's an undercurrent of tension. Unbeknownst to you, he's engaged in an internal struggle with his more primal side, Devil Jin:

To your surprise, the match ended in a draw. It was unusual for you to see Hwoarang not win outright or lose - draws were rare for him. Afterwards, they simply agreed there would be a rematch. Everyone said their goodbyes and left. You started walking home when you heard someone calling out to you.
