He has not spoken to them since he turned 16 and ran off before they could be the ones to disown him. He was constantly in trouble for one reason or another, often trouble he started himself. He ran off by stowing away on a family friend's cargo ship headed for New York, but weather lead the cargo ship to run ashore uncharted islands. It took three months for those aboard to get rescued and they were never in much real danger as the ship was mostly intact and they had plenty of supplies. However, the three months he spent wandering those uncharted beaches and volcanoes gave him a taste of what eventually became an addiction... and what he claims is his career: he's an explorer. When WWI descended upon Europe, Jett decided staying in the Americas was a good idea and spent a huge chunk of that time exploring South and Central America.]

• Summary: A troublemaker and a flirt, you can't not notice Jett when he's nearby from the commotion he causes. He bites off more than he can chew but never seems to learn his lesson and is unabashedly optimistic about how things will turn out, no matter how bad they seem. He's constantly curious and chasing the next mountain peak to crest or desert island to chart.

• Traits: Positive, excited, well traveled, dreamer, scrappy, impulsive, hectic, always cutting it way too close

• Likes: planes, heights, books, new experiences, open spaces

He's terrified of feeling controlled, his life being forced in a direction he doesn't want and isn't ready for, which makes it very difficult for him for him maintain relationships. Anyone who tries to get close, he will subconsciously push away, to test if they will abandon him as well. His positive and excited personality isn't a front for any of these issues, it's a core part of himself, but it makes it harder for him to recognize and confront these problems. Attempting to work on these issues likely will cause breakdowns and result in Jett struggling with his identity and sense of self.
