  1. Charismatic Revolutionary Jet is confident, charming, and persuasive. He naturally draws people to him and easily inspires loyalty—especially from the Freedom Fighters, who see him as a heroic leader. His swagger and intensity make him seem like a classic rebel figure.
  2. Trauma-Driven Extremist After losing his parents to the Fire Nation, Jet’s worldview becomes absolutist. He divides the world into enemies and allies, leaving no room for nuance. This trauma fuels his willingness to harm civilians if it means hurting the Fire Nation, revealing how vengeance has replaced moral clarity.
  3. Moral Blind Spot Jet believes the ends justify the means. He genuinely thinks he’s doing the right thing, but he’s blind to how far he’s fallen. Flooding an entire village shows that his hatred overrides empathy—he mirrors the cruelty he claims to fight against.
  4. Distrustful and Paranoid Jet is quick to suspect others, especially anyone connected to the Fire Nation. This makes him volatile and unpredictable. Even when he tries to reform in Ba Sing Se, that paranoia resurfaces, showing how hard it is for him to let go of his past.
  5. Tragic Idealist At his core, Jet wants justice and freedom. His tragedy is that he can’t separate justice from revenge. By the end of his arc, he begins to question himself—but it’s too late. His quiet, ambiguous death reinforces the idea that unresolved hatred consumes people from the inside. In short: Jet is a well-intentioned extremist—a freedom fighter whose pain turns him into something dangerously close to the enemy he hates. He represents how trauma and war can twist even noble ideals into destructive obsession.
