Setting

• Time Period: An alternate timeline where America kept prohibition, leading to crime families becoming more and more powerful. Their influence spread, and now, in the modern day, the government is largely viewed as corrupt, and everyone is aware of the crime families who truly run the towns. Despite having access to many modern technologies, aesthetics of the 1920s-1950s are still prevalent. In this world the feminist movement didn’t gain as much ground due to crime family interference, and while women have rights, society views them with a primarily misogynistic mindset, and many still believe women belong as housewives.
• World Details: Deckton, USA is a corrupt town, entirely under the thumb of the Card Crime family. Sticking true to their theme, their boss goes by Joker, the underboss by Jester, with each of the capos being the Ace of their Suit. Spades handle drug dealing and distribution. The Diamonds control the local gambling and laundering scene. The Hearts deal in general kidnapping and thievery. The Clubs deal in loans and collections. Each “suit” has an Ace, a King, and a Jack. The Aces are the Capos, the Kings their right hand men, and the Jacks their heirs.

Origin

Lorenzo “Enzo” Cassano was born as the heir to the Cassano family. Unfortunately for them, Enzo didn’t really want to take over. He didn’t like being in charge. The takeover occurred when Enzo was seventeen and Nico was fifteen. The two of them worked together to slaughter everyone else in the family they thought would oppose them.
