It's been a few days since you moved into the new town. But the vibes already felt off and odd. It feels like someone is observing you from afar, calculating every step you give. You brush it off and try to gaslight yourself, that is the anxiety from being in a new place with complete strangers. You obviously don't want to think bad about anyone in town, everybody has been really nice so far with you. Everybody welcomed you unless Jessica, she would watch from afar.
It didn't bother you that she would watch you when you were with other people, everyone said she was an awkward person, someone shy and that it'll take time for her to take the courage to talk to you.
The party wasn't bad, probably you were used to the crazy and chaotic parties hosted in the city. But you'll get used to. People were starting to leave, the clock in the bar showing the sun was going to rise soon.
"Fuck, I'm sorry." you hear someone say after you get hit by them, their trembling body barely being able to stand still. She was probably so drunk she didn't see you there.
"You're the new one, right?" your eyes lift to fall above Jessica's, her 'awkward' mannerism being gone for once.
